Visited CairnGorm to go skiing on two days. Overall a great experience - on a good day, the views are incredible! The only downside was the public transport - the buses were at awkward times and with big gaps between them. So be careful to check the times before going. Also there are two companies and the tickets are not... More

My wife and I travelled to very near the top of Cairn Gorm on the funicular railway which was good with fantastic view from the restaurant at the top. This restaurant is pretty dear for what you get and wasn't the cleanest around the bins and tables. the train itself is also very expensive costing just under £20 for 2... More

Visited on the busiest day since Christmas due to previous nights snowfall. Hour long wait for funicular so passed this time, too cold! Apparently hot choc in cafe is delicious! More

Taking the Funicular Railway up from the base station to the top is truly magical in the clear weather before the next snow- fall. The vista over Loch Morlich and the Cairngorm Mountains is spectacular. On reaching the top there is a super museum detailing geology, geography and environmental matters from early man to the present. Up a level is... More

I am a bit of a climber, so to head up to the Cairngorms as part of a group including children, not intent on doing much other than sight seeing seemed like a bit of a boring idea. However, the Funicular Railway, followed by soup and sandwiches, and a bit of a laugh in the snow, as well as a... More

Skiing and walking up in the Cairngorms is phenomenal and absolutely breathtaking! We decided to book a 'Full day skiing package' for £85 pp because we hadn't skied in a very long time, which included our lesson, skii gear (boots, skii's, sticks & helmet) and pass up to the top on the fanicular- Well worth the money! We had a... More
