I go to the Cairngorms every year with my husband and 2 daughters and my friend and her family and we have the best of times. I plan my trips carefully (two adults and two teenagers) and keep a constant watch on the weather reports. Never been disappointed yet. It's all about preparation. Had a trip to Cairngorm last winter for skiing - charged full price for just a couple of lifts operating - daylight robbery. If you have only a few lifts running, you only have a few lift operators, and less machinery running costs, and wear and tear etc but they still charge full price. Cairngorm Mountain is an excellent place to ski and snowboard for snow sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
