Follow your guide as they lead you up to the reindeer's mountain enclosure. Once there, your guide will tell you all about the reindeer and you can walk amongst them, stroking them and feeding them by hand.Don't fancy the hill trip? For those less able, from Easter to New Year, we have a small group of reindeer in the paddock at the Centre itself. For younger visitors, there is a quiz, you can make your own badge, or make an antler headband. « less

On one hand I think that the visit to the reindeers is a bit overpriced but on the other-where in my world will I ever get to get up so close and personal with such a lovely animal. The walk is quite steep and the way is littered with reindeer poo but the rewards are priceless. Our guide graduated in... More

This is a great visit for families and it is well worth doing the walk to feed the reindeer. Amazing scenery and there's nothing else like it in Britain. My daughters' favourite reindeers were Bovril and Cambezola.

This was an amazing experience. We met at the welcome centre and then followed the tour on a short drive to a car park then a brief walk to the paddock. The reindeer are very friendly and there were a few kids on our tour also so it is suitable for all ages. Be warned if the guy asks you... More

We recently visited the centre and headed up the hill on the visit to the reindeer. When we entered the centre the lady inside was incredibly friendly and informative. Once we got our tickets we went and sat in the car and waited for the 'convoy' to set off. It was only a short drive up the road to the... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our hill trip to visit reindeer. What beautiful creatures! Highly recommended for adults and children alike. It is a bit of a hike, which some might not enjoy, but the scenery is absolutely stunning!

Very nice afternoon with a big herd of reindeers and us right in the middle of them. We learned interesting stuff about the animals and were allowed to feed and stroke them. The animals aren't scary at all so it's also recommendable for kids. You get there by car at first and then you have to walk with the guides... More

My three companions had misgivings until we were told that we would be able to feed the reindeer by hand. Then we enthusiastically paid our pounds and joined the group. It is a very short drive and then a beautiful walk to the reindeer pen. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. He took us into the pen filled with... More

This was an experience that my son (12) and I really enjoyed. The walk to the reindeer was lovely. The staff really knew their reindeer and tailored the information according to who they were talking to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to all ages !

Our guide was extremely friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about reindeers. You can see the staff here really has a passion for caring for the reindeers. She seemed to know every reindeer by name although we couldn't tell one part from the other! As reindeers are animals in the wild, they can get messy so bring wellies. This trip is so... More

What a lovely morning out. When we got there I was apprehensive having been to Lapland and seen reindeers in the wild. The centre doesn't look much and I thought the price seemed high for what it was but I was WRONG! We also saw our first red squirrel here too outside the building pinching thing off the bird table.The... More
