We made a point of sailing all the way up from the Clyde to Loch Ewe to visit these gardens recently and were not let down. Even though dogs are not allowed there is a super walk in the estate where you can take them off the lead, also great views over the gardens and loch from the path. I... More

I simply love these gardens and have visited them many times in the past. But I have to admit that I am an avid gardener and enjoy looking at trees, plants and marvel at the ability to have such a beautiful garden. This time I was organised enough to be there for one of their free tours (every day at... More

We enjoyed walking through the gardens of great variety. There were many unique plants and flowers and we especially liked the blue peonies. The Rhododendrons were in full bloom and spectacular. There were many paths to walk and all were well marked including the difficulty of the walk. It was a long drive for us to get there but well... More

The gardens here are so great. There are so many different types set out in the many area's ie, Rhododendron Walk, Japan, The Walled Garden. You could go on and on. Finding out the history of the gardens and how they were created was really good to. There is so much to see here, we only managed about half ourselves,... More

The Inverewe Garden is a really lovely attraction, developed right on the side of the loch and thus surrounded by wonderful views over the water. The gardens have something to appreciate in all seasons. On our most recent visit in June, we enjoyed remaining rhododendrons, blue Himalayas poppies, numerous spectacular shrubs and trees and the extremely well maintained walled vegetable... More

We visited the gardens, after a long drive to get there. If anyone is expecting formal gardens, they will be disappointed. The gardens are laid out in different countries and the views are lovely. We had decided to have our lunch there, as we have been having picnic lunches most days. We saw a sign in the shop advertising Scottish... More

A lovely garden supported by the National Trust. Splendid walks of 20 to 35 minutes round trips including one to a meandering river and waterfall and one overlooking Loch Fyne. Well worth a visit.

On a typical wet Highlands afternoon we headed for Gardens. The overwhelming experience was one of disappointment. Yes, the gardens are immaculate and meticulously looked after, but unless you are a plant and tree fanatic and can read Latin plant names, I fail to see how they can justify the £10.50 entrance fee. The main attraction seems to be the... More

Expensive trip to Inverewe, but hey...it's a day out. We seemed to pass alot of sullen faced couples who may or may not have thought the same. Lots of yummy horticultural stuff for horticultural dudes to salivate over. I mean, a tree is a tree...and one clump of bamboo is...much the same as the other clump of bamboo over there...right?... Complementing the beautiful natural landscape of this part of Scotland is this landscaper's dream of a botanical garden. We also enjoy soup for lunch in the cafe.
