I visited at about 10:30 this evening (a Wednesday). The bar was quite noisy and busy, but after I'd bought a pint I realised it was entirely full of what looked like middle-aged, straight tour groups. There were a couple of men who I think were gay locals propping up the bar so I stood next to them for 15... More

Great wee pub ruined by a hard faced ignorant barman who completely ignored me when standing waiting to be served, he served everybody all around me and we ended up leaving the pub raging, whoever runs this pub defo needs to have a word with staff

The Waterloo Bar is the oldest gay bar in Glasgow. Although my friends and I are all straight we have gone here at least once a month on a Saturday between 3-6pm to see Robert and May Miller what a day fantastic both Robert and May sing but May should have been a comedian she is hilarious. There is a... More

Everyone was very friendly and walking in there not knowing anyone was not a problem as I soon made friends. The bar staff were very helpful and remembered my drink of choice on my... More

The staff are always happy even though its so busy and always there to help with a smile. None of us are gay as we had been told it was a gay... More

Glasgow's own equivalent to The Union/Churchills in Manchester or RVT/Two Brewers in London. What a laugh!!! Total fun.

Where has all the regulars gone?? Used to be a fab place but music too loud and full of "Swingers" at the week end all feeling and touching others up. Customers coming into the bar don't expect or see this, especially foreign visitors using the bar! Come on owner's clean up your act!

This bar just won Gay Friendly Bar of the Year. However the staff are anything but friendly, including the owner. Not interested in customer service or care. Won't be back 😞

They may have tarted it up, but still the same, bar staff rude (snappy) and the prices are expensive...
