I went there with friends for whisky and must say they are stuffed when it comes to it with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The atmosphere is really pleasant and the place rather calm even if crowded.
One of the very good pubs in Glasgow.

My friend and Real Ale enthusiast was surprised that I hadn't been so, having been at an event in the adjacent Mitchell Library, my wife and I nipped in on a bustling Saturday afternoon. We were seated promptly by the friendly Bar Staff, and order subsequently taken at our table. The Bon Accord does not have a big frontage, but...

I have visited the Bon Accord many times and it has to rank amongst the best pubs in Glasgow. As a real ale drinker I doubt if there is a better ale house in the city (and I have been in a few). The staff are mostly very knowledgeable and they keep the place spotlessly clean. They also have approaching...

We had to drive down to Glasgow to visit the vets in North Street. When we came out it was lunch time and glancing down the road we saw Bon Accord, the menu outside tempted us in. It was a nice atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly. We ordered a 'light' lunch which we couldn't finish as there...

Found this place here on TA when looking ahead at our Scotland trip. It was on my must-visit list, at least for a drink. Stopped in the first time and just had drinks, but we really liked it so we went back the next day for lunch. Staff is wonderful and very friendly. I thought I left my brand new...

Friendly traditional pub with great food, well priced, real ales and plenty of choice.

We happened upon this place almost by accident, but having done so, had no hesitation in returning the following evening. The pub was busy but service was quick and efficient on both occasions, with a great range of cask beers to choose from. One of the locals (from Wolverhampton!!) told me it was the best pub in Glasgow, and whilst...

The only downside to the food was the frozen chips. The haddock was the best I've had in a long time. As good as the anstruther chippy. If only they had homemade chips, maybe next time I'll ask for mash with it.

This pub is the wrong side of the motorway for visitors to Glasgow city centre, but it is well worth the effort to visit. It has a pleasant ambiance, good food but most of all great beer.
All credit to the cellarman, if you like real ale be sure to make this a place you visit when in Glasgow
