There are two parts to this pub, the small bar as you come in and a larger lounge bar through the back. We had a very nice pint of Skye IPA in the first and enjoyed the warm traditional wooden panelling and beautiful stained glass windows with the sunshine streaming through and highlighting scenes of the River Clyde down the... I’ve only recently discovered the Lismore in the last two years and it is now my favourite pub in the West end. I drink in this pub at least twice a week and I have never encountered staff being rude to customers. I have, however, had plenty banter with the staff, both male and female and watched as staff at... More

I popped into the Lismore night as it was recommend by a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music in the corner, I wasn't expecting a folk session on a Monday night! The place had a jolly atmosphere and the place looks great, could do with a better selection of real ales though. Overall, I'd recommend it to... More

If you want to test your palate with a large range of Whiskies then look no further than the Lismore. With over 100 whiskies to choose from you really are spoiled for choice. And with Malt of the Month at £2.15 a dram you can't go wrong. Every time I visit this pub there is always a great atmosphere. It... More

Don't know why I was surprised when I saw the previous reviews. I honestly thought it was just me. But the customer service from the yellow haired lady is shockingly bad. All the other staff are so nice, it really is such a shame.

The Lismore still has the lovely decor and the most wonderful whisky selection, but it really has gone downhill fast. Not sure what is happening with the staff, but the customer service is now atrocious. I've witnessed one middle aged woman (with blonde yellowish dyed hair, she may or may not be the manager) actually being rude to a young... More

The Lismore on Dumbarton rd is a very nicely fitted out bar, finished with some appealing craft touches in wood, stone and stained glass.A large whisky selection is on offer with several real ales. The unusual problem with the place is the staff.Rudeness and poor service being the main problem. The manageress of the place is nothing more than a thug and frequently reminds... C,s comments about the rudeness of the lismore bar staff is spot on. If you're a regular and male (preferably a good tipper) the service is as it should be. However, if you are an infrequent visitor and female the rudeness beggars belief. To be honest this only seems to hold true in the upper bar near the toilets. The... More

After finishing a hard shift working at local hospital,I decided to meet a friend for few drinks and was actually stopped outside the lismore by a younger couple asking for a light for a cigarette - they contunied telling us we should go into the Lismore for a drink as the atmosphere is so good . So we decided to... More
