Enjoyed another visit to this bar with friends. We enjoyed a lovely pint of Three Hop lager brewed by Caledonian in Edinburgh. A plaque in the gents is dedicated to 3 gentlemen who were responsible for the Highland Clearances (old and new) and it invites you to take aim !! Well worth a visit for the folk nights as well.

The Ferry leaves Port Appin every hour and drops you on Lismore. From there you can walk to Port Robert or to the castle where there is a small tea house with excellent raspberry scones. A wonderful place to visit in the spring when the wild flowers are blooming.

An atmospheric whisky bar down the road from Uni & the Kelvin. Named after one of the last highland outposts to be cleared, maintaining the spirit of islanders & highlanders forced into the city & industrial world. Thursday nights give a free music show and the bar always has a whisky of the month. A gaelic outpost that wears its... More

If you like a pub that's old school in a good way you'll love the Lismore. From the moment you walk in it has an air of traditional class. From the polished brass "PUSH" sign to the "Malt of the week" - there's even occasional live gaelic music that adds to the great vibe. My preference with my pal ...... More

There are two parts to this pub, the small bar as you come in and a larger lounge bar through the back. We had a very nice pint of Skye IPA in the first and enjoyed the warm traditional wooden panelling and beautiful stained glass windows with the sunshine streaming through and highlighting scenes of the River Clyde down the... I’ve only recently discovered the Lismore in the last two years and it is now my favourite pub in the West end. I drink in this pub at least twice a week and I have never encountered staff being rude to customers. I have, however, had plenty banter with the staff, both male and female and watched as staff at... More

I popped into the Lismore night as it was recommend by a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music in the corner, I wasn't expecting a folk session on a Monday night! The place had a jolly atmosphere and the place looks great, could do with a better selection of real ales though. Overall, I'd recommend it to... More

If you want to test your palate with a large range of Whiskies then look no further than the Lismore. With over 100 whiskies to choose from you really are spoiled for choice. And with Malt of the Month at £2.15 a dram you can't go wrong. Every time I visit this pub there is always a great atmosphere. It... More

The Lismore still has the lovely decor and the most wonderful whisky selection, but it really has gone downhill fast. Not sure what is happening with the staff, but the customer service is now atrocious. I've witnessed one middle aged woman (with blonde yellowish dyed hair, she may or may not be the manager) actually being rude to a young... More
