The Lismore on Dumbarton rd is a very nicely fitted out bar, finished with some appealing craft touches in wood, stone and stained glass.A large whisky selection is on offer with several real ales. The unusual problem with the place is the staff.Rudeness and poor service being the main problem. The manageress of the place is nothing more than a thug and frequently reminds... C,s comments about the rudeness of the lismore bar staff is spot on. If you're a regular and male (preferably a good tipper) the service is as it should be. However, if you are an infrequent visitor and female the rudeness beggars belief. To be honest this only seems to hold true in the upper bar near the toilets. The... More

After finishing a hard shift working at local hospital,I decided to meet a friend for few drinks and was actually stopped outside the lismore by a younger couple asking for a light for a cigarette - they contunied telling us we should go into the Lismore for a drink as the atmosphere is so good . So we decided to... More

Brililiant traditional pub. Never had anything less than good times. Everyone so friendly and top bar staff. Loads of interesting, quirky memorabilia around the place and the gents toilets certainly raise a little giggle.

We went for the Thursday Open Mic night. Singers, guitar players, one of the best lead guitarists I've ever heard, and some local flavor as well. Drinks are reasonable. Atmosphere is great. Nice crowd as well.

We popped in for a drink on a Tuesday afternoon and there was a great group of live singers ,rationed to two numbers each, who were classy amateur singers. Super atmosphere and friendly crowd! Go there !

We love this bar! The stained glass is beautiful and the woodwork and the gantry classic . Always a good atmosphere with a wide range of beers and malt whiskies. A fun place to go!

One of the best pubs in Glasgow with a good range of whisky and beers. Really has the feel of an old time pub but with a great mix of punters. Always worth a visit for a quite drink or I catch up with friends, highly recommended.

Loved by a vast variety of ages. Business people post work beer, old locals sitting in the corner, young and trendy starting the night out, this bar suits everyone and everyone is welcome. No food except crisps and nuts. Huge selection of beers, whisky and spirits. This place suits everyone. No agenda, just good fun.
