A great place to see with statues and wonderful historical building surrounding it. The open square was busy with Christmas festivities at our time of visit. Its also the place to get on at the HOHO bus.

Beautiful architecture Visited on a sunny weekend in September. There is nothing better than sitting in George Square watching the world go by. Have a seat and look around the nearby buildings at the incredible architecture, Glasgow City Chambers in particular. Walk around the statues of famous and revered Scots and yes there is usually a traffic cone on the... More

I walked around George Square in Sept 2015. It is lovely to see all the monuments around the big open square and to people watch. Also note that very often (so I was told) you can find a cone (like a large traffic cone) on the head of a very large statue in the square. It is usually on one... More

Named after King George III, 18th century beginnings. We were told has more important statues and monuments than any other square in Scotland. Sir Walter Scott, Robert Burns, and Sir Robert Peel are just some represented in this square.

Such a beautiful park! Unfortunately it was raining when I visited with my friend, but the square was still pretty! Loads of people crossing the park, great for a little pause!

Nice park in the center of town. Benches and grass to relax and rest you feet as you enjoy some of the flowers, statues and architecture.

Hadn’t really targeted this one as a ‘must see ‘ place whilst up for the weekend but decided to get off to have a look round when taking the tourist bus from the West End to the Cathedral, and what a good decision that was. This is a very pleasant Georgian Square with some impressive buildings such as the Glasgow... More

A lovely walk accross the square to either shop, people watch or catch the train from Queens' Street Station. On a sunny day just sit back and enjoy the architecture.
