This square is the heart of Glasgow with some nice buildings including the City Chambers. The square features in the film "world War Z" There is usually a lot going on at Christmas and the New Year. Around the square you will also find some bars and restaurants.

Going to the square at Christmas has always been a fun, the lights always make Christmas seem more festive. Now there is a fairground, ice rink and bar to give the experience a modern twist. The carousel is fun for all ages and cheap too. The bars are cosy and have a view over the whole square, you can sit... More

It's a great focal point and a wonderful starting point for a food tour, shopping or sightseeing tours. It's surrounded by roads on all four sides and some... More

There's nothing particularly attractive about George Square, but it's the center of the city and a convenient starting point to find city attractions like museums, the School of Art and shopping.

The heartbeat of the city in the centre of town. Locals and visitors alike can enjoy a break from the day and watch life go by. Surrounded by bars and resturants and often the venue of changing themes, most recently Winter Wonder Land fair and ice skating rink, there is usually something that entertains.

George Square can be considered the heart of the city centre with shopping districts in any direction however, the square itself is usually a centre of relaxation when taking a break from shopping. The area is beautiful and well maintained with almost no litter around which is surprising when you consider the amount of people choosing to eat a snack... More
