I love local/independent cinemas that showcase local talent or films that don't quite make it into the mainstream cinemas (I recently watched Kobain: Montage of Hack.) The cinema has a few larger screening rooms but also has some very small rooms (40 seats at most) so can cater to a variety of audience sizes. The cinema has a quirkiness to... More

So disappointed!!! I went to the FT to see wild tales as a part of the Glasgow Film festival, and they say ohh it is not here, it is in some other cinema at the other side of the city... sorry. ???? whay about my money, probably I should explain that as a part of the festival I tried to... More

I do agree with cinema as it should be in an earlier review. Lovely staff in an interesting building where film matters rather than just making money. Wish we had one in our home town!!

The BFM went to watch a movie at the Glasgow Film Theatre. 12 Rose Street Glasgow G3 6QZ Scotland http://www.glasgowfilm.org/theatre +44 141 332 6535 I found the seats very comfortable with plenty of legroom. The sound system was great and the movie was well worth the money. A fine alternative cinema.

Cinema 1 is like an old fashioned cinema, the decor is beautiful. Comfortable seats, one of my favourite places in Glasgow.

I'm always excited when visiting the GFT. Watching a movie there always adds so much more to the experience. You are not bombarded with overpriced popcorn, drinks & junk food when you come into this movie theatre. There is a pleasant cafe so sustenance is not neglected. The staff are always friendly and the choice of movies is what one... More

I have been going to GFT for a couple of years, especially enjoying their various festivals during the year. (French Film Festival - Japanese Animation Festival) ... The cinema has recently been renovated but hasn't lost any of its charm. A great place overall !

My first trip here since 1973! The GFT has always had a reputation for being a bit arty, and possibly with ageing, this doesn't seem so alien now. The cinema is certainly not the usual multiplex, and it is good to see the independent can still hold its own. Staff are friendly, and the seats were comfortable. Saw Leviathan this... More
