Glasgow Film Theatre is the best venue in Scotland for foreign, classic and experimental films. They do some stuff for children too. 3 'proper' screens, 1 large, 2 small, with quiet, pop corn free film goers. Go regularly and see films not shown elsewhere. A delight!

Always enjoy visiting here - still has the feel of a proper old cinema (albeit more upmarket than a flea-pit) but with mod cons and proper sound and projection. Films are a good mix of the popular and the specialist. We saw “The Legend of Barney Thompson” the other week on a Friday afternoon - pretty full and a fine... More

Have been here a few times, great film experience. The place is vey clean, friendly staff and the seats are really comfy. It always has a good selection of films, it's brilliant to still have this type of cinema In the city.

This is the kind off place that you really dont want everybody to know about because it could get far too popular.Luckily it shows some foreign languuage / subtitled films which is enough to keep many folk away, but they have no idea what they arre missing. Its beautiful stylish art deco type cinema with a nice bar and resturant,... More

When going into the cinema last night the steward said 'you've never been here, it's the best cinema in Glasgow!!' He is right!!! I called to book and was surprised to hear a voicemail! I left a message and within a few minutes I was called back by a polite lady ready to make my booking. During the call it... More

I am very partial to world cinema, and have a soft spot for French romantic comedies with the likes of Romain Duris, Audrey Tatou or Isabelle Carre. I also like Japanese films and ones from anywhere which are in Spanish since I'm trying to learn that. Since real-life travel isn't an option for me at the moment armchair travels through... More

I love local/independent cinemas that showcase local talent or films that don't quite make it into the mainstream cinemas (I recently watched Kobain: Montage of Hack.) The cinema has a few larger screening rooms but also has some very small rooms (40 seats at most) so can cater to a variety of audience sizes. The cinema has a quirkiness to... More

Went to see a movie at cinema 3 last night. Latter part of film spoilt by noise from cinema 2 when its movie finished. Still love the place though
