We have just experienced a wedding reception at The Arches. Very unusual venue for a reception, but it really delivered a great atmosphere. Situated in the vaults under the Central Station, it forms a blank canvas to create fantastic lighting effects and a unique ambience. Nice food and the service was quite good too considering it was catering for around... More

My friends and I went to this bar on a Saturday night and it was dead. The staff were lovely and let us in without paying but there were 3 people inside when usually it would be packed with hundreds. Definitely would be good on a pumping night.

Went a few times on my visit back home, had never thought to go before but it's a definite hidden gem. The food is fantastic! Really reasonable priced with the right amount of sophistication. Staff are great and was a great atmosphere to watch the World Cup. No where else like it in Glasgow, it's my new local every time... More

Apart from regularly visiting the arches for gigs, clubs and the odd theatre I'm dragged to it is by far my favourite bar / restaurant in Glasgow. Great selection of spirits (I love my bourbon), great cocktails and excellent staff. I visit for business meetings and for a pre drink befor a night out quite regularly and the lunch time... More

Visited the arches a couple of times and although it's an interesting bar, with cool decor, I always found it a bit contrived. The beers are expensive, as are the side orders if you just fancy a pint and a portion of chips. Cocktails are nearly £7 which is ridiculous.

Went to the Arches Cafe / Restaurant last night for a dinner for two. We ordered olives to nibble on whilst waiting on our mains. The olives looked delicious as they appeared at our table, but on closer inspection the bread was stale, the oil and vinegar was 90% oil and 10% vinegar, the olives cheap costco variety and the... The boys had a great time but for girls with heels it was a nightmare but they left us to it and was ok. Bit dear for drinks but where isn't these days. Large nightclub and was good for music. Plenty of dancing room and with a choice of four arches and a playroom we we're spoilt for choice. We... More
