Extremely rude and unhelpful staff in times of trauma. Felt I was victim to theft, false accusation and misjudgment of character. My friend came to visit, a vulnerable young girl, not from Glasgow and she went missing, the staff were very rude and refused to help us find her - they made us very anxious and it put a huge... Went to see comedian/musician Reggie Watts (who was brilliant) on a Monday night. Place was packed with a good atmosphere and it's a really interesting venue. Lots of other things on (theatre, clubs, arts) and the restaurant looked good. Best of all was only paying £3.70 for a pint and not being ripped off and there was free water out... More

With the explosion of pointless burger joints in Glasgow, The Arches stands out as one of the best eateries. You can have a 3 course meal without breaking the bank, but Arches Kitchen serves some of the best food I have eaten. I have been there 4 times in a month though and cannot fault.

We have just experienced a wedding reception at The Arches. Very unusual venue for a reception, but it really delivered a great atmosphere. Situated in the vaults under the Central Station, it forms a blank canvas to create fantastic lighting effects and a unique ambience. Nice food and the service was quite good too considering it was catering for around... More

My friends and I went to this bar on a Saturday night and it was dead. The staff were lovely and let us in without paying but there were 3 people inside when usually it would be packed with hundreds. Definitely would be good on a pumping night.

Went a few times on my visit back home, had never thought to go before but it's a definite hidden gem. The food is fantastic! Really reasonable priced with the right amount of sophistication. Staff are great and was a great atmosphere to watch the World Cup. No where else like it in Glasgow, it's my new local every time... More
