Live in Glasgow. Never been here. Weather terrible. So decided why not. Lets visit Pollok House. What a gem. A beautiful place in beautiful surroundings hidden a few miles outside Glasgow. Staff very friendly and very helpful and very informative. Place beautiful and interesting. The servant area amazing. The family area amazing. Defo Downton on a small scale. Only draw... More

Our first visit to Pollok House, already fans of the park, the gardens, the bike trails and nearby Burrell. Our kids aged 5-8 years old loved seeing the heavy horses in the fields and nearby stable yard, and the fun Christmas trail through the atmospheric grand mansion house, Mrs Claus was very entertaining and gave the kids quality presents -... Visited Pollok House today and had to go through Narnia's Wardrobe to enter. Beautifully dressed up for Christmas with lots of teddies about. Also visited Mrs Claus in her sitting room as Santa was out chasing up his naughty elves. Much less frightening for young children. Well worth a visit.

Sorry. Found this place really boring. Perhaps it's just me ;-( there wasn't that much to do. On the upside there is a nice park near by for the children to play. Thought it was expensive

Wedding open day. The house is used as a wedding venue and no doubt is lovely, but the open day could have been much better. First off, and nothing to do with the event itself, is the guy at the front door there to put people off coming into the house? Brusque, curt, abrupt? Take your pick. A wee refresher... More

The house itself is lovely inside, lots of paintings and old furniture/decor. The gardens around the house provide some great wee walks, especially on a nice sunny day. However, the cafe downstairs needs improvement. We went for lunch and a drink on a hot sunny day and sat outside which we thought was great. We eventually got our drinks after... More

Pollok House was one of the highlights of our trip to Glasgow. People should not be put off by the fact it's not in central Glasgow - only a couple of stops on the train and well worth it. Full of period furniture and some beautiful paintings. Lavish, beautiful and atmospheric. The staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful -... More
