Had my own room within the premises.Staff were so obliging.Nothing was a problem.
We went here tonight to see Jodi Picoult (I went with friends), the venue was clean, spacious and the staff very polite. I didn't get to browse all the isles or try out the wee cafe but it looked the part and I will be visiting again, had a lovely time and will be looking to upcoming events.

The Mitchell Library is just that with wall to wall books available for reference inside a magnificant reading room. All ther daily newspapers are there. The reading room is one of the quietest rooms I have ever been in and is used by many of Glasgow's University students for feverish study between and for many just before the exams.
The "Mitchell" is situated in north street just off Charing Cross and is beautiful building- especially at night when it is lit up. It is an amazing reference library as well storing thousands of photograph of "old Glasgow"
Magnificent building with every kind of book section imaginable. The great people who work in it are so helpful if you are searching for old books or songs etc. as well as directing you to the section you are looking for.
Not been for a while but alsways loved it - used to spend HOURS in there studying. Then on occasion in the Mitchell Theatre for some entertainment. It surely has to be one of the BEST buildings in Glasgow !
