We visited Loch Lomond on a sunny, bright day. Armed with good hiking shoes, there are some very nice trails to walk on. The views from the higher altitude areas are unbelievable. The beaches are excellent for picnics. Was pleasantly surprised that there were so many options for Vegetarians in the cafes there.

I dropped in to ask a couple of questions about boat tours etc and they were helpful and friendly. A few small but sweet activities for kids.

I love this place. I love driving through it to get to Fort William to visit my close friends and I love not only the Loch but the breath taking mountain ranges, they never cease to amaze. Honestly if you haven't tried this route to a holiday venture, what have you been doing??? never mind Lanzarote kids clubs, get yourself... More

We happened upon this beach and while the views were lovely, there was so much trash about it was quite disheartening. There are plenty of places to lay your blanket and cook out your food but lets just hope they clean it up a bit.

I love loch lomond! it is genuinly my favourite place on earth. I can think of nothing better than packing up a picnic on a summers day and heading out to the bonny banks, a cheap train from glasgow queen st will take you out to Balloch in less than an hour. but driving around the loch will ensure spectacular... Loch Lomond Park Centre has been relocated to Glasgow according to TA, How on earth can Glasgow be credited with a place 20 miles away? Also the reviews here appear to cover many places including several restaurants within the Loch Lomond and Balloch Area. It is a real mess and it needs to be corrected and the subject clarified for... More

Stopped by at Loch Lomond on the way back from Fort William. Found a little cafe with a green in front near where the Loch Lomond Cruise boats set off from and watched one of these head out, wishing we had time for a trip. Lovely surroundings and an impressive expanse of water. Worth a visit along any of the... More
