We went on this tour early May as a family of four. My 2 children had never been to hampden before and my wife had only been as a spectator at music concerts. The tour started with a walk round the museum which was very good and full of history of the game from when it began in Scotland. The... More

Excellent tour. Only the 2 of us taking it so it turned into a private tour. Thanks to Andy for making it interesting and fun. Combined with a visit to the football museum there as well it turned out to be a very interesting morning. Even the other half enjoyed it!!

Visited this stadium a few times to watch the National side and follow my Club side whenever they play a match here. First of all, I would like to say the transport links from the city center to Hampden are not too bad with frequent trains to Mount Florida from Glasgow Central and plenty of buses too, and return tickets... I believe that the best way to get to Hampden Park is by train. Go to Glasgow central Station and find a train that stops at Mount Florida, as it is only a 5 minute walk to the ground. The journey on the train lasts approx. 10 mins and costs £2.10 for a single ticket.

The museum and stadium tour are 10/10 but the stadium is dreadful, have attended many Scotland football internationals, food and drink prices are obscene, seats too far from pitch, poor poor stadium.

Food prices are a joke nearly £3.00 for a grab pack of crisps. Pies are not the best and if your vegetarian your option is a butternut and goats cheese pie.

The stadium itself is fine. Nothing special, good cheap food, generally clean and staff are polite and friendly. But I tell you - when they talk about the "Hampden Roar", they aren't kidding you! The crowd were absolutely wild. You can feel the tremendous warmth from the atmosphere (I even saw Clare Balding having a wee dance along to Kylie... More

The Museum is great , but to watch football it is horrible , having been there to see my club team and also Scotland play , the veiw of the pitch is terrible especailly from behind either goal , I don't rate it as a football stadium

it should just be so much more! I have been going to Hampden for over 25 years following both Scotland and my club team (7 visits with the club team, not an old firm attendee). Passion is not in question, but the stadium is just not fit for purpose. Lower pitch side seats offer a poor perspective view, higher up... More
