Hampden park full is probably on some peoples list but how about a Queens Park fc game with a few hundred people in just a couple of sections of a huge stadium. Local characters aplenty, hear the players and manager argue, make friends with the stewards, watch the ballboys retrieve the ball from the empty sections and have about 40 seats to yourself.... More

I love the Hampden Experience. Me & my partner did the stadium tour and went round the museum, and we loved it. There was so much information, not only in the museum, but from the tour guide as well. £11 each of us gave us 2-3 hours, which is very good value for money. I recommend any football fan to... More

I had been "warned" about the Hampden Roar before going to the Euro qualifier Scotland-Germany, but was still impressed with the grandiose atmosphere and fan culture. The "singing area" did a great job in creating that special spirit of a serious but fair competition (on both sides, but as a German I must admit that the Scottish fans are simply... More

Been here many times for internationals (and also Queens Park league games). For the Internationals, Hampden Park cant be beaten. Best atmosphere at any British ground ive been to. A short train journey from Central station to Mount Florida station. Get to Central in good time, as queues can be long. Excellent sight lines from the South Stand, plenty of... More

If you're in Glasgow and can attend a game if highly recommend it. The place is full of history and character. The museum is ok but pricy

The last time I was at Hampden was in 2012 to watch the Spain v. Japan football match as part of the Olympics. The stadium itself was fine, we were quite far up but still had a very good view of the pitch and there was a great atmosphere. Food bought from the kiosks was a tad expensive but no... More

I went to Queen's Park v East Fife as a neutral. It was a decent game, including a superb 2nd goal for the Fifers. But as you'd expect, when you put a few hundred people in a stadium that holds 53,000 people it is hard to generate any kind of atmosphere. That being said, I have been to Hampden previously... Great day out for football fans young and old. Staff helpful and knowledgable. Museum is really interesting and displays are well thought out and presented well too. Tour of stadium good, changing rooms etc. Day we were there there were lots of foreign footie fans there too. Not to be missed I would say. Well done Hampden Park. We loved... More

Hampden lacks the ability to create an atmosphere when it comes to holding its main purpose as a venue for football matches. However, it is good for concerts. Many peoples opinions differ but this is the third best stadium in glasgow.
