Glasgow city centre is reasonably accessable for wheelchairs although the sight of the staircase into John Lewis is daunting (go into the Buchanan Centre and use the lifts or go around the back to Killermont Street). Outside the centre things are very different. I had the misfortune to use Argyll Street between Finnieston Street and Kelvingrove Museum. This stretch of... More

I visited Glasgow in 2009, my grandfather was born and raised there. So I wanted to see as much of the city as I could and learn about it. I spent the first two days of my 8 days there taking the city sightseeing tour to learn the city and get ideas as to where I wanted to go the... More

My wife and I enjoyed the trip. The routing was fine and we were able to see much of the city that we would not have otherwise. However, we were skeptical about disembarking. The buses supposedly ran every thirty minutes, but it seemed that this was not always the case. We checked the posted times at the bus stop and... More

Took a city sightseeing tour bus ride and stayed on for the complete trip. Time was limited so no stop offs this time on trip. Pleasantly surprised to see so much evidence of former glory and riches. Lots to see and do, so will definitely repeat the exercise when next in Glasgow.

Being a Glaswegian I thought I knew my city pretty well until I decided to give the tour bus a go. It was actually really good fun but I also learned a lot about the city. It passes all of the usual suspects like Glasgow Uni, the art galleries etc but it's the commentary that really made it for me.... More

The route the tour bus took, was just right but the timing of the buses arrival at any stop was so hit and miss it made me think I would be better making my own way by regular bus. It says hop on hop off, but it was no such service. Perhaps it is time to have the buses serviced... More

This open top bus tour is a great way to see the City as it is very spread out and if you are only there a couple of days it is hard to see everything. Don't sit outside like we did though as it was FREEZING (but kinda fun). Seats and earphone sockets could do with an update, but overall... More

A party of six took the City Sightseeing Bus Tour (red bus) from George Square on a very chilly Sunday morning recently. We braved the weather sat near the front upstairs and enjoyed the commentary by Neil Oliver. It gives you an excellent insight to the city and makes you look up and around at some really stunning architecture. It... More

If possible, I like to do one of these hop on/hop off tours as soon as possible when I'm in a new city. It's a great way to get a fast understanding of what's out there, where things are in relation to each other, where you want to spend more time, and a general understanding of a city's landscape. With... More
