After spending from 9am to 5pm (with only a couple of small breaks inbetween) shopping on Sauchiehall Street, I have to say its one of the best city centre shopping areas I have seen in a long time. With a huge Primark and Dunnes I was in heaven. Equally so when I went to the bottom of the street and... More

As a wee nipper I once got lost on Sauchiehall Street and had never been back, so we decided that it would be best to bury my fears and visit the famous street. I must admit that it was well worth the visit, not only have I overcome my fear but we had an extremely enjoyable day. You cannot visit... More

The whole stretch is lined with retailers, pubs, fast food joints, and the like. good place to find almost anything you need. Be ready to venture into the smaller lanes, where some retailers may be located.

Glasgow is a good walking city, you can walk and you can shop if you like. Restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, shops, etc. are can be easily found on this street.

We were walking on this street after taking tea at Willows tea shop. It felt like places in Seattle in the 60s, where all the cool music venues were, funky, and edgey. I get it, things change, and sometimes not for the better when they change for the "better" ie Seattle Public Market was way cooler then, before it was cleaned... More
