Went to see End Game here and I really like the theatre. Bar at the centre as soon as you get in and was served relatively easily. Great customer service as I booked the 2.30pm show by mistake and arrived for the 7.30. No problem, they had held some seats back and gave us those free of change- lifesavers, and... More

I hadn't been to the Citz since it was refurbished. There was little evidence that it has been, as far as I could see. It's still dingy and dusty and in need of a good clean and a fresh coat of paint. We went to the afternoon performance of Endgame and it was absolutely freezing. Very few people braved taking... Endgame by Samuel Beckett was totally weird. Not a play for all! The theatre was looking fine yet is heading for a big makeover quite soon. Good bar cafe on ground floor.

It may be frayed at the edges and it is hoped the fundraising efforts are a success because the Citz has long provided a template for challenging, inclusive and affordable theatre. It has long been aimed at all people, hence its location in the heart of the Gorbals, which is but a stroll from the city centre. The theatre has... More

Moth eaten and slightly dingy the Citz still has a magic all of its own. Right from getting a really good coffee in the foyer to sitting down in our seats the happy excitement continued to build. Then the show (Rapunzel) began and we were so absorbed and entertained that the intermission arrived in almost no time at all. The... More

This theatre is a little bit out of the road for visits, yet it is rather nice. It's small and yet it works really well, the seats are comfortable - it has had a refit a few years ago in regards to the seats - so your viewing pleasure won't be disrupted by uncomfortable sitting. I would advise people to... More

I haven't been to the Citizen's for many years, and I don't remember it like this at all. It's a lovely theatre, a bit like a mini King's Theatre! Bar in the foyer, space to move around and a very comfortable auditorium with plenty leg room (in the front stalls anyway). Great show that I saw. And enough ladies toilets... More

I have only been lucky enough to visit Glasgow twice, but on both times I have watched plays at this theatre. Wonderful experience.

Saw The Choir last night - what a joy! Thought provoking and entertaining this production has it all and the constantly changing interactions within the cast of 12 are cleverly portrayed. Of course the music is a main part of it all with the individual song choices of the 'choir' delving into their lives. Truly a feel good night. Very... More
