Went to see Celtic Connections here for the first time having seen them elsewhere before. We sat front row upstairs and the visibility was good with slight obscuring of the hand rail. The acoustics were excellent, the concert well enjoyed. The audience were mostly older and appreciative. Typical of buildings of it's era. The catering didn't appeal as the area... More

Went to transatlantic sessions concert which was amazing. The venue is really good with great acoustics and good views of the stage. Good temperature throughout. Plenty of stalls selling CDs and musical instruments. Lots of room to potter about or have a drink at interval. Glasgow lucky to have such a good venue.

Have visited this venue twice during Celtic Connections - once for the mighty Lau and the last for the incredibly talented Skipinish. The latter filled the venue to capacity and provided a night to remember! The Royal Concert Hall is so conveniently situated and staffed by welcoming and helpful Staff. Can't wait for the next visit!

I didn't go into the main auditorium, but the room that held the open stage for Celtic Connections was a sizable place that filled up quite quick. It could've done with more seating and a method where those seated won't get a lot of the late passerby's. There's a bar for drinks and it was a nice relaxed place.

The main auditorium is a wonderful space. It's in the centre of Glasgow, with a shopping centre just next door. The concert hall has friendly staff, great seats and easy access into the main autitorium. The cafe is super, long queues at times to collect food. But the food is great and the cafe is nicely laid out with lots... More

We went here to see a band for the Celtic Connections series, found ourselves on the top floor in the Stratchclyde room. Not enough seating , hardly any staff or anyone willing to sort it out, lengthy queue at the bar to get served and a real lack of atmosphere . Real pity as it could be so much better

Spent a wonderful evening in this brilliant venue. My hubby and I went to see Roaming Roots hosted by Roddy Hart with the Lonesome Fire as the house band , as part of the Celtic Connections festival. The talent on stage was staggering. The concert hall as a venue, is in a great location, easy walk from both train stations.... More

Yea. It's a great venue, central location etc but if like me you get fed up with massive queues, try these hacks. Order interval drinks before the performance starts for pick up at the interval, always order tickets and get them posted, use the loos on the top floor which are less popular

We attended the Spectacular Classics Concert by the RSNO on Tuesday and enjoyed it immensely. A really feel good experience. Thanks to all involved.
