Preferences are always subjective, and what pleases me may not please you. I like oranges, you like apples: does that mean that apples or oranges are preferable - or does it mean they are different? This is a links style course on a cliff-top setting. From some parts of the course, the views are limited - but you have come... More

Played the Course in the Bellhaven Championships , came 2nd place , so not sure if I really like the course , however if I had won, May be my favourite ? Thats how golf works , on its day this is a stunning track along the most amazing coastline ..Keep an eye out for deals on teeofftimes.co.uk which makes... More

This was a little bit out of town but very worth the drive. A fun course to play and in excellent condition. Fantastic clubhouse with a great restaurant.

4th march 2014. Clubhouse closed, pro shop closed, we had to start at 7th hole, most bunkers I saw had no sand, were g.u.r., now I struggle to remember any outstanding features on the course, other than good greens. It doesn't feel like links ground, (came away covered in mud), and I don't see raised greens with cavernous bunkers in... More

Played 17th Jan Having played the best courses in the area over the past three years, a friend and I decided to try the Torrance as it was one of the few who were playing full green, slightly restricted tees, and no fairway mats in January. We paid the winter rate on teeofftimes.com of £40 each, although it is reduced... More

Fantastic course, beautiful greens and narrow fairways. Hit the fairways or you are lost! Better second time.

Having played the lesser known Kittocks course the previous day we were extremely disappointed in this course. Very surprised that Sam Torrance is prepared to put his name to this very ordinary and highly over priced course. Staff were friendly, facilities are good and course was in reasonable condition but the layout and design of the course (particularly the front... More

Surprisingly poorly designed considering I assume it has Sam Torrance's name (?) associated with it. The condition of the course was also at the other end of the scale to Kings Barns and The Castle course which were in great shape. But the Torrance had patchy fairways, slow bumpy greens and unkept bunkers. Unacceptable for August. Overall it was uninspiring,... More

it was the second time that we had played here and we were not dissapointed by the standards of the course. As they dont have members their you can play off any tee. the pro shop satff are friendly and have a good knowledge of all the courses in the area. the only minus for me was the hospitality area,... Played the Kittocks yesterday, after playing the Castle the day before. Started off with bacon roll, bacon same texture as beef jerky, obviously been in oven all night. No fresh orange. (Castle breakfast delicious). Off to locker room, floor coverered in dry grass, toilets filthy paper towels strewn everywhere. The third locker I tried worked. Locker room needs lots of... More
