This is a must photo opportunity. On Sundays you may have to wait your turn. Beautiful. What else can I say.

Even if you don't play at the Old Course you can walk on and get your picture taken on the bridge between players....plenty of time and no one bothers you. Whether a golfer or not, this makes an ideal opportunity for a photograph. The landscape provides an ideal backdrop and an ideal opportunity to pause and reflect. A must for all visitors to the area on a Sunday.

Everyone does it but what visit to St Andrews would be complete without a picture on the Swilken Burn Bridge? Tip - Too many people run out and do not think about their photo. Make sure you decide if you want the 18th green as the backdrop or a side shot of the bridge.

Well, there is certainly not a more iconic bridge than this one. Very small in stature but huge in the memories of golfers watching The Open since we were youths.

If you visit St Andrews this is the No1 place in St Andrews to have your photograph taken. Just make sure you avoid the golfers playing the 18th hole and go on the course and take your photograph. Ensure you get the St Andrews skyline and buildings in the background. This is an iconic image the world over!! Me and... More

Unlike the Centre Court at Wimbledon, you can have access to a small unpretentious stone bridge that ALL the stars of the golf world have walked over for Centuries - for free!!

if you don't take your picture on Swilken Bridge while in ST. Andrews, you've missed the best photo op in town. With views of the north sea, ST. Andrews club house and the 18 green, it's a no brainer!

How can you visit without experiencing this quaint and famous little stone bridge? Of course, we had to have our pictures with the famous pose and wave. My husband will have this one framed!
