Everyone does it but what visit to St Andrews would be complete without a picture on the Swilken Burn Bridge? Tip - Too many people run out and do not think about their photo. Make sure you decide if you want the 18th green as the backdrop or a side shot of the bridge.

Well, there is certainly not a more iconic bridge than this one. Very small in stature but huge in the memories of golfers watching The Open since we were youths.

If you visit St Andrews this is the No1 place in St Andrews to have your photograph taken. Just make sure you avoid the golfers playing the 18th hole and go on the course and take your photograph. Ensure you get the St Andrews skyline and buildings in the background. This is an iconic image the world over!! Me and... More

if you don't take your picture on Swilken Bridge while in ST. Andrews, you've missed the best photo op in town. With views of the north sea, ST. Andrews club house and the 18 green, it's a no brainer!

How can you visit without experiencing this quaint and famous little stone bridge? Of course, we had to have our pictures with the famous pose and wave. My husband will have this one framed!

If you love golf, you revere the Old Course. And if you revere the Old Course, you get kind of misty at the sight of the Swilcan Burn Bridge. Then you four putt and wake up.

Yes, it is a bridge, but for golfers it is the most famous bridge in the world! If you visit St. Andrews for pleasure or golfing, you have to take a picture here. The public can walk around The Old Course on Sundays, and that is the best time to go.

I don`t mean to be disrespectful but it is a bridge. Unless you are a complete golfing nut you may be a little under whelmed. Its a nice photo op, but thats about it.
