Beautiful well laid out gardens. Tranquil spot with some wonderful specimens well worth the small fee. Facilities are a bit basic but does not detract from visit.

A must-see for visitors to Fife and St. Andrews, if you have any interest in trees and flowers. A well laid out gardens, with excellent glass houses, and well cared for herbaceous beds. Also a lovely water and alpines area. Only thing missing was somewhere to get a cup of tea or coffee!

This botanic garden is tucked away but is well worth searching out. Many rare plants in a wonderful setting a short walk from the centre of St Andrews.

Came across the signs for these gardens by chance. It was a damp day but this did not detract from these beautiful gardens. Glorious setting with labels on lots of the plants and lots of seats to stop and take in the views. Staff very friendly and helpful. All-in-all a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

Not many people tend to visit the Gardens since their location is not so obvious in the outlay of the town, however, it is just marvellous to stroll through them, so definetely go!

This is a splendid attraction off the normal St.Andrew's tourist run but with a wealth of interesting plants and hot houses. The gardens are well laid out across different levels and the guided tour we took was relaxed and informative, helping to point out some remarkable trees that we might easily have simply walked past. A pleasant afternoon for both... More

We had family visiting from Aberdeenshire and took them for an afternoon visit to the Botanic Gardens. We were very impressed with the range of plants on show, all with their names carefully displayed. We particularly liked the fact that the gardens occupy a sloping site as this afforded the opportunity to lay out a stream feeding a series of... More
