A lovely spot for a visit. Lush gardens, excellent variety, beautifully presented and cared for in gorgeous St Andrews. Take a picnic and sit by one of the ponds, or just plan for an hour or two walk about. A must see in St Andrews.

It was a grey drizzley day but we spent a lovely colour filled afternoon exploring this gorgeous garden. The glasshouse provided some warm and a break from the weather and the plants where exquisite so much colour and perfume. For children there was a plenty of interest with hidden creatures to find . As a gardener i was able buy... More

This is a very special garden with some wheelchair/buggy friendly paths and some more exciting with stepping stones and steeper areas. The herb garden is really interesting with medical herbs as well as culinary ones, There are several glasshouses which include items like banana plants, coffee and cocoa. There is the great gruffalo trail for the children (which we enjoyed... More

I hadn't been to the St Andrews Botanic Gardens in all the years I lived in Scotland but I recently went there and I was surprised at how much there is to see. Very well looked after.

We took our 3 year old daughter to hunt for gruffalos. She loved it. We also enjoyed all the hot houses and lovely little shop. Great for families.

We visited this garden on a drive through Scotland, and arrived here somewhat accidentally -- we didn't spend long, as there was not overly much to see, however I could see this being a great place to take kids!

Took our 6 month old who loved it (maybe not as much as my husband and I!) Really easy to follow map( with a buggy route) and a lot of fun! The gardens are also beautiful!

The gardens are beautifully designed, with lots of different little areas to wander around. I could happily spend a lot of time there, the wonderful selection of plants means that there will always be something different to see. The little tea shop provides good light refreshments.

Tuck away in a residential area of St Andrews is a magnificent Botanic garden. Well worth a visit. Excellent selection of interesting and well laid out greenhouses and gardens. A great 1/2 day outing.
