Wide variety of plant types. Woodland areas and wee loch. The tropical display was excellent. Spent 2 hours there and if it had been sunny would have stayed longer More

This botanical garden is not huge, but it is very cleverly landscaped and designed that it gives you a very satisfied feeling with its vast collection of plants. The land is undulating, which is better looking, in my view than the larger (?) Edinburgh botanical garden, the latter with its less-than-impressive and dare I say disappointing Chinese garden (I am... More

For the very small price of only £2 you get to go around these amazing gardens. I am not a gardener but really enjoyed our time here, the glass houses contained plants that were amazing and the landscaped gardens were just breathtaking, we went on a cold and wet day, I can only imagine that in sunshine it would be... This well signposted garden is an absolute gem. We walked the short distance from the center of St Andrews. The glasshouses are full of fascinating plants and the well laid out gardens are a delight to walk in. More

I like to be able to stroll around a garden and view varied presentations of planting; be it a rock garden or a herbaceous border, or reeds beside a pond. St. Andrews has all this and more with greenhouses that you can wander through too. There is a small admission charge but I think it's worth it. More

This was a surprise...a real gem find within St Andrews. Beautiful gardens and exotic plants indoors and out. The extensive grounds and glasshouses are well worth several visits a year in the open seasons...even if you are not a gardener. More
