I love aquariums, and this was one I had wanted to visit for many years. However, if being completely honest I felt slightly let down. The displays are interesting and quite informative. I enjoyed being there for the feeding of the meerkats. From what I could see, the majority of the building needed a little TLC. I can appreciate that... More

Very nice small aquarium, which also has lemurs, seals and penguins. Very reasonably priced. If you book in advance (for an additional fee), you can feed the seals/penguins in a personal encounter (we didn't find out in time to do that, unfortunately!). Great for kids if they need a break from sightseeing ;-)

Good explanation, interesting for children, but no too many species but you are never disappointed by an aquarium.

Those expecting a huge high-end aquarium will be disappointed but it's still a nice wee place. The exhibits seemed clean and well looked after with a nice range of fish for the small scale. The seals and penguins seemed happy in their enclosures although they could have done with a bit of a clean. The meerkats are an excellent edition... More

OK - I understand the high price given the volume of visitors, but it really is too much for what is there. Saying that, everything is well laid out and clean. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The shop is quite small and sells the usual trinkets and knick-knacks. Some good educational stuff. Maybe worth going to on a cold,... More

A trip to the aquarium never disappoints but the addition of the meerkats makes it even more entertaining.

Really disappointed. For two adults and one child it cost £27. We were only there an hour max and that was going round the place twice. Place was dirty and very run down. We will not be going back. An embarrassment to St Andrews tourism.

I must admit that we almost didn't visit due to other dreadful reviews, but I'm so glad we did! I went with my husband and 2 teenage daughters, and everyone really enjoyed it. Yes, the decor could probably do with refreshing, but it is a small attraction, not on the scale of deep sea world. As far as I could... More

We visited here last week with my 2 year old granddaughter. It was rather expensive at £10 per adult but no charge for my granddaughter. The Aquarium seemed a bit run down and there is not that much to see. You could go round in 30 mins really. We also had lunch in the café which was average and again... More

Day trip to St Andrews with my wife and 7 yr old daughter . The Aquarium was run down and in poor condition. Not pleasant attraction to walk round, which took less than 30 mins, condensation build up in the place made the whole building cold, wet and generally miserable, Facility's poor with toilets blocked and filthy, didn't even bother...
