Description: A golfing Mecca for the most accomplished golfer to the enthusiastic...
A golfing Mecca for the most accomplished golfer to the enthusiastic amateur, a trip to St Andrews Links is one which realises the ultimate dream for golfers worldwide. From the iconic Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course to Tom Morris’s masterful architecture on the New Course, St Andrews Links has developed over 600 years to become one of the most famous locations in golf. Perhaps most fascinating however, is the fact that all seven courses at St Andrews Links are public and open to everyone. St Andrews Links is the largest public golfing complex in Europe. From the terrifying sight of Hell Bunker on the Old Course to the gentle slopes of the Balgove, the Home of Golf has become the ultimate golfing destination for all ages and abilities. The three championship courses; the Old Course, New Course and Jubilee Course run parallel to each other along the famous St Andrews Links West Sands of St Andrews. Nestled on the opposite side of the Links are the Eden, Strathtyrum and the only nine hole course, the Balgove. A five minute drive from town is the seventh course, the award winning Castle Course which offers dramatic views over St Andrews from its spectacular cliff top location. Away from the course, explore the fantastic facilities St Andrews Links has to offer. Learn the game where it was first played at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy. The Academy offers first-class tuition from PGA-Qualified St Andrews Links professionals and is home the only Callaway Performance Centre (custom-fit) in Scotland. The driving range has over 60 bays, including 22 indoors, and a landing zone which is over 400 yards long. All mats are air cushioned, and five bays include the Power Tee automated system. There is short game area, which includes a replica of Road Bunker, and a putting green, once the second on the Eden Course and regarded as one of the finest in St Andrews. Shop our fantastic range of official merchandise from our five retail stores, the Old Course Shop, the 18th Green Shop, the Links Clubhouse Shop, the Castle Course shop and the oldest golf shop in the world – Tom Morris. Finally relax in the Swilcan Restaurant in the Links Clubhouse, The Eden Clubhouse or the Castle Course Clubhouse with a wee dram as you reflect on your visit to the Home of Golf.

One of very best golf deals is the St Andrews 3 day pass. The pass lets you play unlimited golf on all the Links' courses save the Old but that is still 6 courses. I played (day 1)The Castle and The Strathtyrum (£125 & £30), The New and The Eden (£75 & £40) on day 2 and The Jubilee (£75)... More

Just attended 144 th playing of The Open at the "Old Course" in St. Andrews. From the moment you step onto the course, golf history permeates into your body. So unlike North American courses, this is how the game was meant to be played. Those who appreciate the game of golf and its history, need to visit. The course is... More

Iconic and one that should be savoured, better if you have actually played the course as there are tourists every minute of the day on the bridge

It is not difficult to rate this course a 5, it is the home of golf after all! The Open was well organised from traffic control to admission to spectator comfort. Truly an amazing experience. As for the course, a very good round of golf if you can get an invite! Well worth a try!!!

Wonderful experience. Beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff, well worth the effort, and it is free to walk the course, even for non-golfers. The town of St. Andrews adjacent is also quite charming.

Brilliantly organised. A great course to view the greens. Stands were in great positions to various action. Considering the rain, the course was in fantastic condition.

One thing we sadly cant account for here at the Home of Golf is the infamous Scottish weather! It's been said you can experience all four seasons in one swing here in St Andrews! Glad you enjoyed your experience and hope you can come back for a round of golf some time soon. More

I was lucky enough to visit St Andrew's for the 144th Open. The golf was very good, but just being at the home of golf was magnificent. The setting is just amazing and the activities set up around the Open were terrific. For example, HSBC set up a replica of the bunker on the Road Hole so that punters can... More

Having attended the Open championship for 2 days, I was fortunate to view the 17th (Road) and 18th (Tom Morris) holes from a great vantage point in the stand. I also walked the course which was in an excellent condition. The course is steeped in history (From the ‘Burn’ on the 1st hole through to the ‘Swilcan Bridge’ and ‘Valley... More
