Owner description: A golfing Mecca for the most accomplished golfer to the enthusiastic amateur, a trip to St Andrews Links is one which realises the ultimate dream for golfers worldwide. From the iconic Swilcan Bridge on the Old Course to Tom Morris’s masterful architecture on the New Course, St Andrews Links has developed over 600 years to become one of the most famous locations in golf. Perhaps most fascinating however, is the fact that all seven courses at St Andrews Links are public and open to everyone. St Andrews Links is the largest public golfing complex in Europe. From the terrifying sight of Hell Bunker on the Old Course to the gentle slopes of the Balgove, the Home of Golf has become the ultimate golfing destination for all ages and abilities. The three championship courses; the Old Course, New Course and Jubilee Course run parallel to each other along the famous St Andrews Links West Sands of St Andrews. Nestled on the opposite side of the Links are the Eden, Strathtyrum and the only nine hole course, the Balgove. A five minute drive from town is the seventh course, the award winning Castle Course which offers dramatic views over St Andrews from its spectacular cliff top location. Away from the course, explore the fantastic facilities St Andrews Links has to offer. Learn the game where it was first played at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy. The Academy offers first-class tuition from PGA-Qualified St Andrews Links professionals and is home the only Callaway Performance Centre (custom-fit) in Scotland. The driving range has over 60 bays, including 22 indoors, and a landing zone which is over 400 yards long. All mats are air cushioned, and five bays include the Power Tee automated system. There is short game area, which includes a replica of Road Bunker, and a putting green, once the second on the Eden Course and regarded as one of the finest in St Andrews. Shop our fantastic range of official merchandise from our five retail stores, the Old Course Shop, the 18th Green Shop, the Links Clubhouse Shop, the Castle Course shop and the oldest golf shop in the world – Tom Morris. Finally relax in the Swilcan Restaurant in the Links Clubhouse, The Eden Clubhouse or the Castle Course Clubhouse with a wee dram as you reflect on your visit to the Home of Golf.

Having dined in the St Andrews Link restaurant on several occasions we have never been disappointed. The menu is varied and offers dishes for all tastes whether it be a quick snack or a full 3 course meal. The restaurant is spacious and provides a stunning view of the iconic 17th hole of the famous Old Course. You don't have to... More

The courses were brilliant especially for December. The starters at the New and Eden very very welcoming and helpful. Learning how to Access to the Old Course was not so clear and I thought the starter there, while not unhelpful, was not as hospitable as his counter parts elsewhere.

Not only "The Home of Golf" but one enjoyable round. Take a caddy, it's well worth it. Don;t let the history intimidate you, swing freely.

We got lucky and won the ballot and reserved caddies when we confirmed our tee time on the Old Course. What an experience! We took some photos by the Swilken bridge, of course. and a few photos at other places along the course, but mostly just enjoyed the course and playing with the help of some excellent caddies. We honestly... More

Any golfer dreams of playing on the hallowed turf of St Andrews and this week my wife and I visited St Andrews for a three night stay. My wife is novice golfer but we had been recommended to play the Eden course which was an excellent choice and well worth playing. I then pitched up as a single golfer at... More

Thank you for a fantastic review! Please do come back and visit us. There's five other St Andrews Links courses to tick off the list. We'd particularly recommend The Castle Course, a five minute drive from the centre of town - stunning views of St Andrews. More

If you golf you just have to, spine tingling stuff on the 1st and iconic photo opportunities all around the place but especially on The Swilken Bridge. The Links Clubhouse couldn't be more welcoming and the quality and service both excellent. Just a must visit place.

Playing the Old Course twice was a dream come true. Trip of a lifetime for an old man. I loved the course, quirky and serendipity kind of place.

So you play golf. You must play here. The welcome from the staff, the starter, the on course marshalls was fabulous. They see 100s of golfers a week but they made us feel special. You know every hole and can walk in the footsteps of everyone from the world of golf. The whole round we were smiling and taking it... More

Probably the most famous golf club in the world. A great day on the beach, in the Links Clubhouse for a yummy lunch, had a Links Burger with a local Belhaven Micro Brewery Amber Ale! Loved the Swilcan Bridge

The weather forecast for the day was dire, however how wrong they were. We never saw a drop of rain. We were so lucky considering it was November. It was always my ambition to play the Old Course with my son. So this is it, the first tee at the Home of golf, where all the great golfers have stood.... More

First tee nerves on the Old Course are something even the greatest golfers in the world suffer from. All adds to the magic of the Home of Golf though. Also, we hope you popped into Old Tom's Shop. Thank you for a fantastic review! More
