It dates back to the 1850s, when it was the station master’s lodge and the history and heritage live on. Today, The Jigger Inn is home to golfing memorabilia, crackling open-hearth fires, home-cooked food and a superb selection of Scottish beers – this is traditional Scottish pub hospitality at its very best. Fondly referred to as ‘the towns best 19th hole’ and much loved by the many celebrities who visit. « less

Writing this review from the Jigger Inn, I'm again impressed how quaint and cozy it is, even though it is attached to a very luxurious and modern hotel. I spent an afternoon here my last trip to St. Andrews and will continue to visit here on future trips. There have an excellent outdoor seating area -- right along side the... More

We were recommended by a friend to head for here on our day trip to St Andrews. We had a hearty lunch that was very good value. My tabouleh and roasted veg could have improved with a touch of Balsamic glaze, my son's burger was very good and the service warm and friendly. The ladies' room was nicer than in... More

While dear hubby was on the Old Course, I waited to meet him on the 17th in this charming pub. There were pictures and other decorations celebrating the history of St. Andrews. The server was most nearly perfect and the Sticky Toffee Pudding was not only the best Sticky Toffee Pudding I've ever had, but in the top five of... More

There are alot of positive reviews here but unfortunately our experience was very much the opposite. I booked a sunday lunch at the jigger for my wife's birthday celebration. I was a student at st.andrews in the early 90's and was interested to see how the pub had changed and sample the food, which sounded simple but good quality. The... More

An old friend of a celebratory pub after a great round with the lads - fish and chips are the best as is the selection of beers on tap - can't really fault it!

Lovely bit of character right there on the edge of the 17th fairway on the old golf course. It's not attached in any way to The Old Course Hotel - physically or character wise. Nice pub fare available & an outside patio area if weather permits. Try to avoid sitting by the door to the patio area if the weather... More

Whenever we visit St Andrews we always start with lunch in the Jigger. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Lunch may be slightly more expensive that other establishments but the quality is far better.

Next to 17th fairway of Old Course, by the Old Course Hotel (which isn't linked to the Old Course actually other than by location...). Lunch there, before heading off to Old Course for a round, was a good local pint with a very good fish and chips served with a smile. Favourite watering hole to watch the balls come over... More

I was introduced to the jiggers by my now late father in law as a must "pint" when visiting St Andrews. I grew quite fond of it over the years, but over the last few It became a bitter (pun intended) disappointment. The menu became more sparse in quality and prices hiked to fleece the uninformed or those who part... More

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience at The Jigger I was particularly disappointed that you did not enjoy your time at the Jigger. We pride ourselves on offering a delicious locally sourced menu and our pricing structure is very much in line with comparable good Pubs in St Andrews. Obviously, I am disappointed... More
