The first tour was Alnwick Castle and Lindisfarne Castle; Alnwick is massive and there is a lot to see inside and outside (one of the Harry Potter movies and the Downton Abbey special were filmed there). Lindisfarne is smaller but the location (Holy Island) and the scenery is unique. This place was raided by the Vikings in one of their... More

My friends and I booked a tour with Gray Line during our stay in Edinburgh and I was especially pleased with how informative and professional the tour was conducted. Our guide, Graham, was especially experienced, flexible and accommodating. All in all, it made for a very pleasant experience despite the unpredictability of the Scottish weather.

Scotland is a beautiful country, so a bus tour can't help but be good. We took the tour from Edinburgh through Glasgow, the Trossachs, Aberfoyle and Stirling. I attribute the pleasure of this tour to our driver/tour guide, "Gray Line Graham," who was amusing, informative and pleasant, and to the passengers, who were all timely. This allowed us extra time... More

We have just returned from a day trip to Loch Ness and Highlands of Scotland. Very much enjoyed the trip. Scotland is really beautiful and we were very lucky with the weather, having had clear sky all day! Our coach driver, Brian, was very friendly and humorous. We especially enjoyed the music entertainment done by him :) Also, very much... More

Booked the Loch NESS tour. Bus broke down at 9.15am just over an hour into the tour. Then had to wait 2 hours for a replacement bus! We were then told it was too late to go to Loch NESS and that we would be going to Loch Lomond instead. By way of "compensation" we would get a 10 pound... More

Visited Melrose Abbey and Rosslyn Chapel ( of Da Vinci code fame ) on a day coach tour from Edinburgh. Very good tour guide, informative and very helpful providing continuous commentary during the 7 hour tour. Coach was comfy and there were only 8 people on the tour. Also had a brief stop at Dobbies Garden centre for lunch and... More
