My mom and I had a wonderful experience on the Rosslyn and the Roman Border tour. Steve was a great tour guide who was funny and very passionate about history. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was a great story-teller as well. The whole bus fell silent and listened intently when he told his stories about history. He climbed... More

This tour was a huge dissapointment, you travel a long distance, a full day, only have two short stops. In fact we were promised a SUPPER stop at the town of Pitlochry on the way home which turned in to a coffee stop. Looked like a great village, tons of shops but none open by the time we got there.... Thanks for your review. We appreciate and fully buy into the fact that Trip Advisor offers a forum for praise AND criticism but it would be fair to say that all of us at Heart of Scotland Tours were disappointed to see our first ever 1 star review. Having now investigated this complaint in detail, I would like to respond... More

We did the one day tour out to Loch Ness and we had a great time, the weather was perfect and we saw the majestic scenery of the Highlands. The boat tour of Loch Ness was a bit of a let down, you just go out to the middle of the lake and then come back. Quite expensive for what... More

This was our first tour we took while in Edinburgh and we highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Scotlands history and folklore, Our tour guide Rose was diffidently one of the best tour guides we have met, she is informative, full of interesting stories and had an answer to every question. Weather you want to learn about Scotlands... More

Be warned: their Loch Ness one-day tour won't allow you to leave your bus to hike or walk outside at all. Since you cover so many miles in one day, there's no time for any outdoor experience - so a waste of 40 pounds in my view. I had no idea this would be the case when I booked the... More

Molly - thanks for taking the time to review our Loch Ness day tour. We value all feedback, both positive and negative, and I would like to address some of the points you have made here. As you correctly identified, the tour covers a lot of miles in one day. This is one of the reasons it's still our most... More

Let me start by saying that they are THE ONLY BUS TOURS WHO TAKE KIDS on board. All other tours ,including the well-known Rabbies and few others , DO NOT TAKE KIDS. And Rabbies was so unprofessional that when I categorically asked them if they could tell me about any other tour operators who would take kids, they said that... More

The scenery was amazing and we were so lucky to have good weather on that day. The sky was clear, blue sky, a little bit of white cloud and a lot of SUNSHINE! That certainly made our trip even better. Our tour guide told us a lot of interesting stories especially about the history of William Wallace, clans, highlanders etc.... More

The day began right on time! The guide was excellent with storytelling, picked excellent spots for photos, and gave excellent choices for eating times. The scenery is beautiful and you learn history along the way! More

Just got back to our hotel from the fabulous Monarchs, Mountains and Malt Tour with Rose, and I wish we could do another tour tomorrow! The itinerary was well-spaced so that we were never in the bus for a very long stretch of time, and the driving went by so quickly with Rose's stories and anecdotes. She also made some... More
