Step back a few hundred years as Adam Lyal (deceased) and his spooky chums bring the Capital's grisly past vividly to life. Established in 1984, the Cadies have been scaring people from all over the world almost every single night since, and our walking tours have become one of Edinburgh's must-see attractions. Our tours cater to all ages, and are available at different times throughout the evening. I have been on a few ghost tours of major cities- this was the most enjoyable. I brought my 9-year old daughter, who likes to be spooked, and it was a perfect mix of drama and history for her. We went on the 7pm tour, ghosts and ghouls. The guides were entertaining, humourous, and knowedgeable. The guide was well-spoken, involved... More

Two young men dressing up to describe life in Edinburgh. They interacted with the crowd and we laughed from start to finish. More

We went on the 9pm Murder & Mystery tour and it was absolutely brilliant! Our guide (Adam Lyal, deceased) was so funny and was brilliant at getting the humour across to the different nationalities and really made us laugh the whole time. I also learnt a lot, so educational as well as entertaining! I jump really easily so was a... More

If your looking for a tour with a twist then this is for you! I was concerned when a group of ladies in their 20's and 30's were to enjoy such a tour, but I must confess I was quietly surprised and suitably entertained. This tour is most suited to groups that like tongue in cheek humour and a more... More

we took the murders & mysteries tour, it gives you a better insight and feel into the royal mile and the old town of edinburgh than you can have on your own, or even with a daytime guide to my opinion. we loved it, and for a price of £8,5 per person, you really shouldn't be hesitating. More

Booked a tour, having seen the reviews on TripAdvisor and looking for something different to do whilst visiting Edinburgh. Money well spent. It was great fun and Adam and his co-horts were brilliant. Had a few screams and jumped a few miles during the evening. Can totally recommend but go on a tour when it's dark, definately spookier. Have fun. More

If you are actually looking for ghosts this is not the tour for you. But if it's entertainment you want then it's perfect. It's great fun, a good laugh, with a bit of historic info and gruesome tales mixed in. Would definately recommend it. More

We did this tour with our 2 children (ages 10 and 11 at the time) and everyone enjoyed it. Although it is a night-time tour with some grusome tales, it is not in fact frightening for children. The tour guides/actors are fab! and so much fun! We were lucky that it was a warmer and clear evening. I imagine the... More

Going on this tour was the highlight of our recent trip to Edinburgh... better than the zoo, the yacht or the theatre! Informative, entertaining, dramatic, exciting... And excellent value for money. Forget the idea of a "tour" - this is first class entertainment... Don't miss it! More

A fab end to our trip to Edinburgh. The tour was great fun with lots of laughs. The guide was funny and entertaining and we loved the interaction with the "jumper ooter" Our 9 year old thoroughly enjoyed the gruesome tales and learned lots of fun facts too. Not to be missed! More
