I was there during the festival. I didn't like it at all . To many drunk people, not good security staff. Alcohol in plastic. Not recommended.

Been to this place several times to see shows at the Fringe festival. Recently been very disappointed with the standard of customer service. Even to enter the venue to see a free comedy the bouncers were very discriminatory and rude. I suggest that the venue addresses these points to make the place more attractive for customers in the Fringe Festival... More

Went to the children's events today... just too busy. Any chance of introducing tickets at a minimal charge to cover admin costs. x

We really enjoyed our evening at the three sisters. We came at the weekend for my sisters hen party. There were 18 of us in total. The atmosphere was great. We were looked after by the friendly waiters who took us for the cocktail master class after our meal. The food wasn't the best but the atmosphere more than made... More

Visited on Saturday 9th May. My friend was short changed by ten pounds at the bar and staff refused to help. The 'manager' wouldn't cash up the till despite telling me they had ten in operation. The barman claimed we only gave a ten pound note but my friend had just been to the cash point and only had a... More

Hired karaoke pod for a hen do of 20. This was £5 per hour per person. Room was very small with 3 seats and 2 small tables. We could barely fit in the room. A round of drinks took about 40 minutes as only one bar staff on the bar. Knowing there was 20 of us and the general bar... More

We went here for a stag weekend, and we could not have picked a better place. The bar below the hotel was full of stag and hen parties and the atmosphere is one of constant partying. However this did not reflect badly on the hotel, we never heard any noise nor were we woken by drunken frolics in the corridors.... More

We went to the Three Sisters as we wanted to get a drink at a place that might not be packed and where we could get served. What a mistake, place was so busy and there were more drunks then I have ever seen assembled in one place. Hen and Stag centre for Edinburgh as there were no less than... More

I felt this place had a lot of good atmosphere but the clientele were a little scary and it was very dingy and sticky inside. Outside was a good laugh with the dancing. The music was very gay bar style but hey everyone loved it.

Fantastic for stag do... Lots going on and drink reasonably priced for the area... Great indoor and outdoor and good location to the grassmarket for the rest of the bars and clubs around the area

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
