I've suffered for a number of years from chronic lower back pain. I've tried physiotherapy but it didn't help much. Finally, after a particulary painful weekend recently, I decided to give this a go. Best move I've made in a long time. Two half hour sessions over 3 days really sorted me out - the massage is powerful and not... More

I'm very prone to a stiff neck , so thought I'd try this place out. Excellent, powerful massage that has been really helpful - I feel a lot better and will make it a weekly visit. Nice people, good value for money.

Went in for an hour-long treatment, my back finally feels loose and relaxed for the first time in YEARS. Absolutely fantastic, I wish I could give more than 5 stars! They even threw in a free 5 minute massage for my girlfriend for patiently waiting, as well as plenty of cups of tea!

My husband, Jim has been having a pinched nerve with numbing and pain in his left arm for the last 2 weeks. It's very frustrating and painful to travel in this condition. We've tried chiropractic, osteopathic treatments and he is on painkillers from our visit to the ER or A&E as they call it here in the UK. Kei really helped... More

I love my visits to Shivago, and always leave feeling pain-free and refreshed. Hoyn always gives me a treatment which suits my individual needs at the time of my visit and seems to have an instinct for what areas of my body need worked on at any particular time. I would thoroughly recommend visiting Shivago – either for a general... More

I've had this terrible ache in my shoulder for ages and had been meaning to get it checked. Decided to try this place and was so glad I did! I called up and they only asked for how long you'd like your treatment to last and based on an initial consultation they would recommend to you what would be best... More

My young adult son and I went and had an hour massage each. I travel for work and pleasure and have experienced many massages in many countries. I can honestly say this wS definitely one of the best. I felt cared for, received great advice and walked away feeling 100% better than when I walked in. Don't miss out, take... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
