What a terrific experience this tour was...thoroughly enjoyed every minute of every hour. We walked Old Town and New Town, visited unique and wonderful shops and restaurants. Julie did a terrific job sharing her knowledge of Edinburgh's history. I think this rates at the top of our list for enjoyment and learning at the same time. Would highly recommend this... More

This was my favorite tour! My first visit to Edinburg and everyone on my tour was from Edinburgh. Great food and drinks, especially the whiskey. Unique and interesting places and full of history.

Hi Thank you for the great review. We do get locals on our tours and I'm pleased to say they often haven't been to all of the venues we show them on the tour. Thanks Alan More

What a great way to see and learn about the city AND the food. We enjoyed our experience a lot, well done. We have been on food tours in many countries of the world, it's a highly recommended way to get started in a new location.

It was our first visit to Edinburgh and on our first evening we had booked this eat walk tour. It was great. We got to know a good section of the city and try a few eateries along the way. Our guide Alan was very knowledgeable about the local area and places to visit and eat. There was plenty to... More

Hi Thank you for the lovely review. The map we give out at the end of the tour is very useful as not only does it show the places visited but also any discounts or special offers the venues give to those on the tour. Plus on the back of the map we have a few suggestions of other places... More

We enjoyed the guided tour, it was very informative, historical (Alan took us to the oldest whisky shop and we were in heaven), also the gourmet exquisite local product shop has got many great local products (do not miss that, I would pack the... My wife and I have been to Edinburgh numerous times, so when we booked the New Town tour we were pretty much resigned to going to places we'd probably been to before - how wrong we were !! First thing to say was our tour guide Alan was a perfect host - genial, knowledgeable and very personable, and he definitely... More

My wife and I took this tour while on our honeymoon in Edinburgh. My wife is the foodie of the family and loved the excellent food and drinks along the way. We both thoroughly enjoyed the history and local perspectives provided by our excellent guide, Julie Thompson. After Julie discovered that I don't eat seafood, she was kind enough to... More

Myself, hubby and two teenage sons (16 and 19) took this tour with Alan in July. We had a wonderful time not only tasting all the terrific food, but learning about the city and its history. We went back to Cranachan and Crowdie for some of the shortbread and cheese we tried. Also we LOVED the elderberry fizz drink we... More
