Alan was very accommodating and willing to set up a private tour for our group of 6 without charging extra for this service. He communicated efficiently and met us at our designated meeting place which was easy to find. He knows this city well and shared its great history. The food and drink choices were varied and interesting, ending with... More

This was one of the best things I did in Edinburgh. It was easy to arrange. The guide was very knowledgable and engaging. The choice of venues was interesting and varied, from the herring in oatmeal at the Hotel du Vin to the cranachan at the Ghillie Dhu. Sat sipping a rare single malt at the Scottish Malt Whisky Society... More

My first food-walk tour and it was fantastic! Alan, our tour guide was great and had lots of knowledge of Edinburgh as we walked around the city. Loved the smaller group and meeting people from all over the world. All the stops were great, especially the Scotch Whiskey Society was a highlight. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone... Our daughter recommended this tour as a great way to see parts of old town and new town on the ground level. Not only did we have a good time and taste some interesting foods and beverages, it orientated us to the older part of the city. It is a perfect first activity while visiting Edinburgh. My wife and I... More

I've had different experiences with guided tours, but this one beats all expectations. It's not for a second boring, very educative and entertaining. Food is excellent and the structure of the tour is well planned. I can highly recommend

We were in town for Ryder Cup and wanted to start out our stay with a city walking tour. We GPO much more than that from Alan. We love good food and drink ...so combining that with a guide who could provide historical info was perfect for us. The pace was excellent with five or six very different stops for... More

The Eat Walk Edinburgh tours are absolutely an evening (or morning) well spent. You'll visit 4-5 restaurants, walking with a small group, and taste a variety both traditional and innovative foods. The tour guides know the city's history and personality well; when our guide, Julie, discovered that we were in town for a medical conference, she tailored the tour's content... More

Hi Thank you for the lovely review, I'll pass on your kind words to Julie. I'm glad you didn't let the weather get you down. The tour allows you to see around this wonderul city breaking the wlak with stops at some nice bars and restaurants which helps in the bad weather. More

This was a good combination of a walking tour, combined with food stops. Probably 50/50. My wife is a non-drinker, and even though we had alcohol at 3 stops, it was always combined with food, and they provided good alcohol free options too. Julie was a very nice guide, and very informative. Her background was a teacher, and she was... More

Booked this after viewing a couple of reviews here, and boy was I glad I did. My friend and I had this tour in Sept/14. We had heard about it from a friend and booked it immediately. We enjoyed the food tasting and drinks at each stop and the history of all of the places we stopped. This tour was both interesting and enlightening. We had a great guide who related lots of great stories from... More
