The tour gave us an edgy and spooky taste of Edinburgh's unique secrets and history. Our tour guide Chris T was made the experience worthwhile with his humour and character! Definitely recommended.

Was very good, the tour guide Chris T added that extra character too. If you want to see what life was like in Edinburgh over the last few hundred years this is the place to go.

So unusual. Certainly not your usual tourist site. Unique to Edinburgh. I was very impressed by the friendly, professional staff before I even started the tour. So gad I went.

This tour was zo much fun. Had the best time. Oud tour guide Keith was really funny and played his act very well. Scared me a copple of times but maked me laugh even more. You should really go to Mary King's Close, you will not regret it!

Was not really expecting great things from this venue. I thought it would just be a couple of people dressed up telling tells. It is a little pricey and you can pick which sort of tour you wish to go on one lasts one hour and the other two hours and there is a difference in price of £2 to... More

So I thought I was going to walk in to another tourist trap where people walked around in costumes of the time and show me around some room that was decorated with replicas of chamber pots and what not. I was partially correct. The other part of me was pleasantly surprised. Ushered into the Close by "Lloyd" a foul collector,... More

The Real Mary King's Close is an up-close and personal view of the hovels used to live and work for daily members of the town, real urban living. A very accurate impression is made on the squalor of the poor, middle class, and wealthy apartments and the impact of modern comforts such as plumbing and health care (can you say... More

Such a wonderfully unique experience. Our guide Mel was great and offered a lot of insight to the hardships the people of Mary King's Close experienced. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in history.

I did this tour during my stay in Edinburgh and I found it very interesting. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and took us underground through a series of steps and passages and into what was an actual home several centuries ago. There were also a couple of replica homes and she regaled us with stories of the time period.... More
