We had a most enjoyable visit to the a Royal Yacht Britannia and it was like stepping back in time. It reminded me of an old fashioned comfortable country house. It was very functional and not luxurious, quite different from what I had imagined. It is well worth a visit.

We spent several hours this morning touring the ship, it was very interesting. Lots to see and amazing how spotlessly clean everything was.

We spent a couple of hours looking round the royal yacht. The audio guide which was included in the cost of entry was really informative and generally did not bore you with too much information. The tour was laid out clearly and you got to see the majority of the ship -- where the sailors spent the time, where the... More

Thank you very much for recommending Britannia to other visitors. The audio tour is great for letting you take everything in at your own pace and to listen to as much, or as little information as you like. More

It sounds like you had a wonderful visit to Britannia. Fantastic to hear that you had some time to enjoy lunch in the Royal Deck Tea Room. It really is a treat with the waiter service, food fresh from the Galley and stunning views across the Forth. Many thanks for visiting and supporting our charitable trust. More

Worth a visit , the 2hr audio guided tour really is worth the price as it provides great in depth knowledge of the queens royalty and travels . Lots to see while on board and I recommend trying the fudge sold on the ship. The place is easily reachable by bus from princess street or if u take the hop... More

The Royal Yacht Britannia is really a wonderful attraction and well worth a special visit to Edinburgh. The tour is perfectly organised and a hand-held remote control guide gives an excellent commentary. Most areas of the ship may be visited including the Queen's personal suites. A trip back into another world.

We loved our visit to the Britannia. What an experience. Now we know how the other half of the other half lives! I was just sad that the ship no longer sails, as she is lovely. The entire experience was top-notch.

This was a highlight of our stay in Edinburgh. There is more to see than you expect and viewing the living areas used by royalty and crew was very interesting. Buy the Royal Edinburgh Ticket which also gives entry to the Castle and Palace of Holyroodhouse, plus 48 hour travel on the hop on hop off buses.
