A great treat to visit the royal yacht and lunch on board was excellent. A hand held device giving you information on every aspect of the ship was brilliant. Loved the experience and cant recommend it enough.

Hi, Well, I love the sea, the seagoing maritime world, so I loved the Britannia the first time I saw it during H.M. the Queen's visit to Barcelona in view of the then coming XXV Olympic Games and when I took many pictures to it during that first time I saw it. It's always an everlasting occasio and specially since... More

If you think, as I did, that taking three under 10 kids around a stuffy former royal residence is asking for trouble you would be wrong. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Many attractions seem to be geared to herding you like unclean hordes through an 'expereince' before spitting you out into shop selling tack, after having tried to entice... More

This is the Royal Yacht that was used for royal visits for years. It is well worth the visit just to see how the crew ran the yacht. The royal suites are an eye opener - small beds for the royals even for a sea going vessel. Visit this as part of a Royal package.

When a family member learned we were going to Edinburgh, he said "You should really try to get out to see the Britannia". Without too much trouble, the bus from Edinburgh took us directly to the site. With audio guides in hand, we were told to expect 1 1/2 - 2 hours to go through, but by the time we... More

A special treat for our 13 year old granddaughter included lunch on board, and yes, as many other correspondents have commented, it is expensive, but what a memory to cherish! The food was expertly presented and all felt just as expected - first class! Britannia is a really interesting and educational place to include if you are doing the tourist... More

The Royal Yacht Britannia is well worth a visit. The engine room is immaculate and looks as though it has never seen a day's service, it is so pristine and gleaming. Fasinating to see where The Queen and Prince Philip spent their honeymoon all those years ago. The lounge and dining room are lovely too.

We are thrilled that you found your visit to Britannia to be worthwhile - the gleaming Engine Room sounds like a highlight! It is truly amazing to hear the fascinating stories of both the Royal Family and the 220 Royal Yachtsmen who were on board whilst she was in service. Many thanks for visiting. More

This was a wonderful experience. As expected, the yacht is magnificent. Plush and spacious. Really enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant up top. I will say is kind of weird that the entrance is attached to a mall. I assume it was more cost effective than building a totally separate facility.
