We enjoyed seeing the Queen's yacht that was retired in the late 1990s. The rooms and service areas are all decorated and kept as they were when the yacht was in service to the royal family. Since we toured the Royal Yacht Britannia over the holidays, we were able to see it beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our 2 college kids... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon aboard the RYB. The audio tour was fascinating, informative and very lighthearted. It was superb to get access to all areas and to think you've taken in a little bit of history never to be repeated. Great for all ages, photos can be taken and in December it was empty so you can take... More

We,ve been to Edinburgh 4 times but this was our first time to see the Royal Yacht. It was great. Very interesting to say the least. Seeing the Queens bedrooms, dining rooms ect was surreal. You can take your time doing the tour and there are plenty of photo opportunities. We had lovely soup and sandwiches in the tea rooms... More

Visiting the yacht was well worth the £28 my husband and I paid. The audio guides are informative and easy to use and really give you an idea of what life on board must have been like. All the personal royal possessions which fill the ship are lovely, the standard of accommodation the queen and her family enjoyed was amazing.... More

Excellent access to all floors! Especially good value as we had tickets included in a bus trip tour. The food in the café is surprisingly good and not at stupid prices.

This is the small and personal ship her majesty Queen Elizabeth II made her holiday trips to Europe, the Med and around the UK with her husband, family and other royalty for around 50 years before it was decommissioned and moored at the port of Edinburgh (Leith) a short bus ride from the city centre. Well restored and beautifully maintained... More

The yacht is wonderfully laid out for tourists and has an excellent sound machine so that one can learn so much as one goes from room to room. Very helpful staff in all departments and definitely a place to visit.

This was a wonderful look into the life of the Royals. There are 5 decks and you can see each one. The engine room was spotless. And the crews quarters from the lowest To the highest rank were very interesting. We also had a glimpse of the sleeping and sitting quarters as well as the daily routine of the Queen... More
