A pleasant day out with lots to see around the ship. The prerecorded hand held guides are very clever and informative. I went with my partner, mum, partially sighted sister in law and my 13 year old son. My son want that interested in listening to the Guide but it was a good experience for him to see the ship... Unmissable and worth every penny. If you visit Edinburgh you must visit this exhibit. An amazing glimpse of life in the Royal Family through the years. I would imagine that she would have been heartbroken to loose such a wonderful vessel. The afternoon tea is an extra but 'Push the Boat Out' it to is unmissable. Go early and take... More

Went to see the Royal Yacht reluctantly because i didn't think it would be my cup of tea. I'm glad i did. It's situated on the top floor of the ocean terminal shopping mall. It's £14 fee is ok. You're given a handheld audio unit and off you go. You get a good insight into the tough life the royalty... More

Brilliant! Well worth £14, so much history to learn about and afternoon tea at the end is a must!!! You are given a handheld hearing set which allows you to take things at your own pace and listen/skip as much as you like. So many photos that tell stories and the whole ship has been returned to the 1950s rather... More

Really enjoyed visiting the attraction and found it very informative and a real insight in to life on the Yacht. Great value for money and easy to get to, got the bus out from Princes St and drops off at the shopping centre and the start of the tour is in there. Like the hand held audio tour and easy... More

We are thrilled that you really enjoyed visiting Britannia and found our audio guided tour to be insightful into the lives of both the Royal Family and the 220 Royal Yachtsmen who served on board. Indeed, local buses 11, 22 and 35 travel from the city centre to Britannia for only £1.50 each way (correct change needed). We will ensure... More

What a fantastic trip for all the family. Really informative and fascinating about the many thousands of miles the ship has covered. Surprised about how Spartan the sleeping quarters were for the Queen, unfortunately there won't be another one like the ship or the Queen. A must go for a family

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are so glad that you found the tour to be really informative. As you say, HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh chose simple and elegant furnishings over more ostentatious designs. Thank you for visiting. More

Second visit and most enjoyable. The onboard café is really good too. Even if you're not a royalist, it's a beautiful vessel, the story behind it is very interesting and it's good value for money.
