12 pounds per person is a bit much for what it is and not value for money and gift is also very expensive
Access is easy by lift if stairs are difficult. The Royal Yacht Britannia is very interesting and you can feel the history all around. We enjoyed cake and coffee in the Tea Room on board. The audio guide is an excellent idea and you can just take the tour in your own time. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this historic... More

Well presented and the self held tour commentary allows you to see things at your pace. Tea on the deck was lovely if a little pricey

Everything about this tour was great. It was so interesting to see, especially the modest bedrooms on board and the formal dining room. It was also pretty cheap considering you could spend as long as you want on board and I would recommend the tea room for the experience.
Fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed the self-guided tour of Britannia and that you found your visit to be such good value for money. Lovely to hear that you also had some time to enjoy a treat in the Royal Deck Tea Room – it really is a wonderful experience with the waiter service, food fresh from the Galley... More
I wasn't too fussed about going to see this whilst we were in Edinburgh but I am so pleased we did. The price to get in is very reasonable too. This is the BEST thing to do in Edinburgh. It's so interesting and the naffi shop selling the fudge was a great surprise! Then the tea room-wow!!! Scone and cream... More

A good way to spend 2 or 3 hours. I found it to be interesting without being spectacular. It shows the splendour in which the royal family travelled in. I'd recommend trying the sun deck tearoom. Reasonably priced with good service and delicious scones. Top tip: wear a coat, it gets windy down there by the water.
Wonderful to hear that you had an enjoyable few hours aboard Britannia. It sounds like one of our freshly baked scones in the Royal Deck Tea Room was the perfect way to round off your visit. As you mention, it is advisable to wear sensible clothing as some of the tour route does take you out on deck. Many thanks... More

This place has an excellent military discount, the best I have had anywhere in Edinburgh apart from Holyrood Palace. The whole tour was fascinating. My favourite part was the dining hall where you could see many of the gifts that the Queen and Phillip have received from around the world. What a fantastic place to put them on display. Look... More
