This was well worth taking a trip outside of the main tourist section of Edinburgh just to see it. There are so many artifacts and pictures to bring the history of the yacht to life...not to mention the different parts of the yacht itself. You are given an audio guide where you enter a number to hear info about the... More

It was a fantastic opportunity to see how royalty would travel the seas, and as opposed to other audio tours I've listened to, the one they have here is actually interesting. They have tons of details on every deck, many things out on display that you can look at.

Very interesting, shows what used to pass as luxury, ship is dated by todays standards. Engine rooms are very impressive. Boat has been kept in good condition we visited on the 3rd January which might have been why it was not very busy. very informative tour and so much history. We visited the sun tea rooms for cream teas which... More

Park in the 'Blue' car park at the docks for free. This is a great experience, we took the free audio tour and were not disappointed. Very interesting contrast between the working 'ship' and the Royal parts. Really surprised by the Royal bedrooms and to see the engine room was great. The tour staff are superb, very helpful and willing... More

This attraction is well worth a visit. You can pre book online or obviously pay at the door. I am not sure that pre booking is such a good idea. We did pre book to visit on the 2nd Feb 2016. On arrival we showed our tickets and were pointed towards the entrance to the yacht. You start at the... More

This attraction is fabulous & very much worth visiting. The yacht & it's contents are kept in immaculate condition & the electronic information machines (in various languages) are very informative.

Found it rather shabby, but there again it is old. Only certain rooms available to view. Had expected more luxury.

We had a hard time to find our bus to Newhaven where Royal Britania are located. But after the visit, we are very happy we didn't give up. To enter Royal Britania you have to go inside a nice and big shopping mall. You get a handheld speaker that worked as a guide, many languages to choose between. They even... More

Fascinating on many levels. How the royal family really live; what luxury yachts used to look like; what was an engine room like in the mid 20th century. Excellent audio tour; however the reception and entry are in need of streamlining.
