The Britannia tour is not only the royal yacht tour but an immersion in the british history. It's a nice tour inside and outside the yacht, the place where the royal family and other important people were used to meet. The 14 pounds ticket give you the possibility to visit the yacht for one year, applying for the yearly tour.... More

We visited here whilst staying in Edinburgh – it is really easy to get a bus out of the city as you get dropped off outside the attraction. You go through a shopping centre to reach the boat which is useful as you can buy food and have a look around. The boat is absolutely stunning and worth a visit... More

I've not got much interest in the royal family so this wasn't my choice of attraction. However I found this a really fascinating timeline from launch to final dock. Seeing photos of the boat at so many places and all the people that have been on state visits was great. Also interesting to see how the crew lived too. The... More

We bought the Royal Edinburgh package - 2 days of unlimited use on hop on hop off bus along with prepaid admission to Royal Britannia, Palace of Holyrood and Edinburgh Castle. The yellow bus takes you to Britannia. Go early, as this attraction closes earlier than others. You can easily spend a morning touring the yacht, which is interesting and... More

It is interesting to see how the other half live about the royal family. Apart from that a lot of it looks the same and not interesting for young people.

It's well set up and the audio handheld to guide you thru is a great idea! I wish more places had this option for no additional charge.

This was an amazing place to visit , a real insight into the royal family . Not at all what you might expect .even my 17 year old and his pal had a great time and the hand held information guides are really good ,as at first I thought it would be a bit boring for them but not so... More

It was great to see the old girl again after so long and this time in real close up. She is in excellent condition and being well looked after. The facilities on board are very good and the staff more than helpful. Was rather bemused that to get from one deck to another, one had to leave the ship and... More

It was a fun and interesting tour (included in a hop on and off bus tour package). I could see spending time sailing on this yacht more engaging than living in a stuffy old palace (not that I have those options).
