When we visit a city we generally like to take a hop on/hop off bus tour. Edinburgh has 5 tour options. As we had only an hour or so to kill we decided to take the green line Edinburgh tour. The tickets cost £14 per adult. We picked up the bus near Waverley Bridge. The bus headed out along Princes... More

three buses to chose from. If you by either a 24 or 48 hour ticket you can take advantage of all three separate tours. Great tour narration, and a lot of hop on, hop off stops to many places of interest.

So having been on the Glasgow bus tour I wanted to go on the edinbugh one as I really enjoyed the glasgow one . My wife and I brought a 24hr ticket for the tour which we always do when visiting a new city as its the best way to see the city and get to,the places you want to visit. As usual the tour guide was knowledgeable about the city and made the trip worth while. We would always recommend the local bus... More

We bought a 24 hour ticket because we had never done an open top bus before but found that this was a handy way to get around the centre of town when our little feet had had enough of walking. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable so we learnt some history too.

A brilliant way to get an overview of the history and architecture of the city. Our guide Evelyn is obviously and justifiably proud of the beautiful city and gave us a witty and informative take spin on Edinburgh. Great start to our weekend. Thank you.

We were on the bus on a very cold day in February. Despite the chill the bus was crowded. It was a while before we were able to get seats up on top. It is run very efficiently. You can choose what language to listen to the tour or choose to listen to one called "Bloody Scotland" or something like... More
