One ticket, 3 different routes and lots of history. These tours show you things you would never have known about. Its very interesting the time goes by really quickly. If going in autumn or winter, wrap up warm!

£20 for basically a 3 day pass of three buses around Edinburgh city and out to the Botanical Gardens and the Royal Britannia. If you do nothing else in Edinburgh, take the bus tours. We felt that we got an amazing sense of the city this way.

When on a city break choose this mode of transport to pack in as much as you can. We got a 48 hour pass to get as much in as possible. You can travel on all three buses including magestic tours. It cost £48 per person for 48 hour pass and includes entrance to The Castle Holyrood Palace and The... More

There are three tours with different routes, we chose "Majestic" because it passed our hotel in Leith and went on to Ocean Terminal (for R Y Britannia) before heading for town. The cost for all-day hop on hop off tour ticket is about the same as for a taxi from Waverley to Leith. Unfortunately, our tour did not go near... More

firstly I should mention we had to use the green bus (hope its the same company) as the red bus wouldn't stop for us..the older looking bearded driver just waved his hand at us and drove away!! The green bus duly stopped...thanks...and we paid the driver £14 each. The city has to be the most perfect canvas for any tour/gude... More

Would highly recommend taking a tour bus especially if you are limited to only a few days in the city. It's an excellent way to suss out where everything is. Some of the tours have an audio commentary but if you can get on one with an actual tour guide these are much better and highly entertaining!

The tours were wonderfully informative and the staff are very pleasant. I'd recommend spending a lil bit extra for the ticket that allows you to go on all 3 busses, it's worth it! Even if you don't do all the tours it's great for getting around the city.

We went on a live guided tour and we really enjoyed it. We had an amazing guide, Hugh, who told us everything about Edinburgh's history and the lovely buildings . We started the tour in the New town and then we went in the Old town and seen all the atractions. Is a hop on-hop off bus and you can buy... More
