One of the best ways to see a city in a short amount of time is the bus tours. This is no exception, it doesn't take long to get around, about an hour. We got on the bus and did the entire tour first picking out the places we wanted to get off and explore on the next go around.... More

We took the Majestic Tour mainly because it stopped over at the Royal Britannia yacht in Leith. However we were pleasantly surprised at the insightful commentary and also enjoyed the tour route. We stopped at the Royal Britannia, and Leith, before getting off in the Old Town to head back. It stops on the way at the Botanic Gardens too... More

One of the most expensive we have used. The comentry wasn't very clear. We couldn't find the stops, not very clear on the map. Having said all that it is the best way to get around the city, which is sprawling

The mac tour narrated by Gordon was fabulous. He held our attention and has a great sense of humour. Would highly recommend it.

Recommend getting one of these, it's a great way to get around the city while getting some local knowledge of the history behind Edinburgh itself. Definitely recommend getting on board the green bus (Edinburgh Bus) as it's a bit more personal with a tour guide rather than the pre-recorded tape on the other buses. Our guide was Leslie, lovely lady... More

The ones with tour guides were excellent and very knowlegeable and helpful. The 24 hour ticket allowed us to view the wonderful sights over 2 days and it was convenient to hop on to the different tour buses by using the one ticket. Best way to see the city when you don't have a lot of time.

We have gone on a few HOHO bus tours during our travels and we found this one in Edinburgh to be one of the best. There are lots of buses so you never have to wait long for the next bus. The stops are all close to the sites you want to visit and the use of real guides, rather... More
