Ha, we did hop on.... and after 3 stops the tour took a brake. Not kidding. At the official starting point the bus ALWAYS stops for 20 minutes. That's ridiculous and the driver doesn't even mention it. Without saying anything they stop the bus, and then there you are..... Commentary was off. When the audio mentions a house on nr... More

Myself and two friends visited edinburgh for two days so were quite pushed for time but the bus tour was a great way to see alot of different places in the city on a time schedule whilst also being very informative and interesting. The horrible history audio channel also provided fun facts and stories for kids (and adults!) The staff... More

We pre booked online and bought a Royal Ticket. This gives you access to 5 bus tours ( 3 in the winter) which run round various parts of the City. The Royal Ticket gives you 48 hours access to the tours and you can hop on and off all those running. It gives you access to the three big Historic... More

We did the live commentary tour (green bus). It was fantastic and our guide Charlie really knew his stuff. The tour did feel a wee bit rushed but this wasn't down to our guide. I recommend this, but its not long. Only 65 minutes long.

Our tours are around 1 hour long but tickets are valid 24 or 48 hours so you can hop on and off to explore the sights that you have seen and heard about. Thank you for describing them as fantastic. We got the bus from opposite Waverley station. The attendants were very helpful. We took the tour to Botanic Gardens, where we had a visit and lunch, then jumped back on bus to Royal Yacht Britannia, Leith, Ocean Terminal shopping centre, National museum of Scotland and Holyrood Palace. We have visited Edinburgh many times, but there were still some info... More

You can without doubt travel around most of the city on foot and you can buy cheap bus passes but the commentary provided paticularly by the live guides rather than tape make this a good buy. Get all routes for 48 hours so when you need that break just hip on the bus and enjoy.

Hancoxa, I think you've hit the nail on the head. There are other ways to get around the city but you'll find out more on board our tours and you'll enjoy the commentary from our Guide. Thank you for hopping on and for taking the time to share your review here, we love hearing back from our visitors. Many thanks... More

There are three tours to go on: the Edinburgh one, the City Sightseeing one and the Majestic one. The Edinburgh one I would highly recommend. We had a lovely tour guide called Charlie who was very friendly and told us a lot of information about the city. Sadly, I didn't have enough time to do the City Sightseeing one but... More
