Our driver/guide was Marty. He has a dry sense of humour and a Steven Wright-like delivery to his jokes. My wife and I laughed a lot, but not many on the bus had English as their first language, so some of the jokes fell flat. The company suggests that you bring some money for food, souvenirs, entrance fees etc. for... More

We took the tour with Gramy on a very rainy morning, which turned into a typical Scottish day of sun mixed with rain. The pickup point was convenient and sheltered from the weather. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and a very good driver - some of the roads we took were more "off road" - but the views they allowed... More

For those not wanting to hire a car, this is a great way to see a bit more of Scotland outside of Edinburgh. It is a very thoughtfully designed tour with several interesting stops to break up the bus ride. Our guide Jamie was the real deal. He represented the Scottish traditions very well including advising us on Scottish cuisine... More

Ok It is a free tour so you should be grateful and shut up..but to be honest I felt like a waste a day on a bus!! They try to accomplish too much in too less time. At least to the guide tour was very funny and knowledge but we spent 70% of the tour on the bus. I think... More

Hi Valentina R, Thanks for taking the time out to give us some feedback, much appreciated. I'm completely perplexed; however, by your comments about spending "too much time on the bus". Your estimation of '70%' of the time being spent on the bus is wildly inaccurate, with the real balance of 'on-off' time 50/50. The tour has been designed in... More

My girlfriends and I took this tour in mid July. We found the pick up point very convenient right on the Royal Mile. Donald was thorough, detailed, and efficient. He was able to show us lochs, mountain views, charming towns, castles, and countryside (and let us not forget the hairy coos!). We really managed to pack a great deal into... More

The Hairy Coo tour was a great one, allowing the tourist to see the beauty of Scotland from the Highlands. We had a very friendly guide- Jamie who explained everything and showed us all the places as per the company's agenda. The weather was very cold at times, but the combination of in/outside activities was very well planned which helped... More

I enjoyed my trip with the Hairy Coo—the orange bus disguised as a hairy coo was great, and I really appreciated the pay-what-it-was-worth-to-you model. The route was well thought-out, and we covered quite a lot of ground in one day. And we even got to feed hairy coos! The guides were very accommodating, and tried to make our day as... More

The tour was excellent. Both the driver and the tour guide were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour to all of my friends and family, and look forward to further tours with this amazing company. :)

We had a wonderful time in our trip with The Hairy Coo! - A perfect blend of history, sights and great humour and stories by Martin! Our boys (10 & 15) where as well delighted and entertained! We can only recommend this to anyone who wants to get the first taste of the Highlands and we will surely be back... More

Hairy Coo offers an alternative tour compared to most operators. The tour is somewhat shorter and does not include Loch Ness. You do get to see most of the main attractions in the area, such as Wallace Memorial, Highlands (including stopping at 3 very nice lochs) and the highlight of the tour: you get to feed the hairy cows the...
