This tour was absolutely amazing and worth every penny I paid for it. -The guide's commentary, storytelling and jokes were truly engrossing. -The stops and on-off bus time ratio was as good as it could be for a day tour. -Having taken other company’s tours, I can safely say that this tour is above the rest. -The company really places... Me and my friends took the tour when visiting Scotland in May. It was one of the best if not the best experience of our journey. You see and get to know so much during the day that it's almost impossible to absorb it all. The William Wallace Memorial, Duine Castle, Loch Kathrine, beautiful Scottish scenery and, of course, the... More

We booked The Hairy Coo after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Our guide was Jamie, who knows so much about the history of Scotland, he really bought to life the stories that you read about. We had lots of time off the bus to explore and as they are small group tours you don't feel like just... More

beautiful scenery and all that this unique tour has to offer. Donald's knowledge was second to none and was both informative and entertaining throughout. It's great to see The Hairy Coo go from strength to strength (this was a return trip for me). Here's to the future of this fabulous venture!

I highly recommend this tour if you are going to be in Edinburgh. A great way to explore the Highlands for the day. Donald, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a great tour experience. The scenery took by breath away. Learned a lot of Scottish history. We stopped at a number of times to take in the scenery... More

What more could we have asked for?! Gorgeous weather, a brilliant, knowledgable tour guide (with a wicked sense of Scottish humor!), comfortable, clean buses, well timed stops, a great selection and variation of sights, and, of course, the magnificent countryside itself! Whether you're here in Edinburgh for a day or a week, make this tour your number 1 priority! And... More

Great day out of Edinburgh! Marty was a delight - a joke-a-minute kindof guy, so we were entertained for the trip. He also played some Scottish/highland music which really suited the scenery outside the windows and made it so relaxing and picturesque. We stopped at a tower near the beginning of the trip. We chose to pay the optional additional... More

Perfect way to explore the highlands. We had 3 full days in the city and spending 1 day with Hairy Coo was great. Donald, founder and co-owner of the company was very helpful, knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating. We stopped at multiple historical sites, small towns, a lake, scenic points. We also got to feed the hairy coo's! The bus was... More

My husband, granddaughter and I took this tour on Friday, Aug. 22nd. What a wonderful experience! -EXCELLENT, pleasant and interesting tour guide (Aedin - not sure of the spelling) provided excellent information and answered all questions -many stops to see various attractions (and go to washroom) -tour left on time -a "must" when visiting Edinburgh and Scotland
