Dean Park has something for everybody, nice walks around the park, plenty of animals along route to see and loads to keep kids busy and distracted.

Top quality museum exhibits in the castle, interesting and pleasant countryside walks. Food was surprisingly good in the 'Treehouse' onsite cafe, it did;t look much but was very tasty.

My husband and I popped along to see the Waterloo exhibition and were treated to an impromptu and inspirational tour of the tapestry rooms by Linda Fairlie (we kind of invited ourselves oops). It was amazing. Her enthusiasm for what they were achieving was contagious. Her patience considering the interruption was very dignified and greatly appreciated by ourselves. I even... More

This really is a great place to visit and surprisingly it's all free. We walked for ages through the woods and the castle is lovely - unfortunately building work is taking place and some of it is closed. There are animal pens and a kids play park. A great attraction.

This is a lovely country park with lots of space to walk and enjoy the countryside. Couldn't believe it was free! The house was small but the Waterloo exhibition well worth a visit. The video about the making of the banner was really interesting. Reception and cafe staff very friendly and welcoming too.

I recently noticed an item in the news regarding the display of trophies dating back 200 hundred years,to the Battle of Waterloo, being on show at Dean Castle and this is why I am reviewing the attraction again. Unfortunately when I got there the originals were no longer available. However much to my surprise and delight, beautiful copies were on... More

Walking up from the car park the views of the castle and surrounding park are beautiful and the deer park area is lovely for a picnic but take a rubbish bag with you as there are no bins at the picnic benches beside the deer enclosure. A lot of renovation work is going on so be prepared for areas to... More
