We walked round the park and saw some of the animals and enjoyed the views. It was New Year's Eve so the Castle itself was closed but it is a lovely place for a bracing walk!

Dean Park is just fab, it has everything you need for a great day out! A park, a castle, animals, walks, a river, in fact something for everybody. The river can be quite spectacular in this wet weather

The castle and country park are right on our doorstep and is a truly great place to keep both children and adults entertained. The castle is steeped in history and has real armour for the children to try on. It also has lots of woodland paths and bike trails which give you the opportunity to see lots of wildlife. It... A range of attractions are available - historic buildings, a modern visitor centre, fascinating artefacts and collections in a beautiful setting with woodland and stream side walks. For the kids the animal collection is a must, as is the viewing of the castle dungeon.

Kilmarnocks top attraction is well worth the effort to get here. The castle is the centrepiece with guided tours available. The animal park is developing whilst the stunning views coupled with lovely walks through the forest are superb. Great for dog walkers and if interested there is an equestrian centre if prebooked. The visitor centre is a welcome retreat on... More

The staff had a little movie screen going to keep the kids entertained till it was their time. Santa was fantastic! Very good with the boys. They were impressed with how much he knew... More
