Visited yesterday for a picnic and to walk around the country park. Plenty of walks through the woods and the paths are in good condition, although the waymarking is rubbish. We'd have gotten lost countless times were it not for the map from the visitor centre. When following the green route we ended up at a river which we needed... More

The castle and grounds are very interesting and I'd recommend taking a tour. There are animals to wander round and see, and lovely places to walk. The playpark was good, definitely worth a visit to the park.

We loved the Dean Castle as we have heritage that dates back to the Boyd family. The grounds were beautiful and tour of the castle was very professional and knowledgeable. We were disappointed the keep was not open, due to falling rocks. Maybe we can see next time we visit.

I have visited Dean castle and country park on a Friday morning. I was very disappointed that the castle was closed. Yet I could enjoy long walks in the country park. It was a bright sunny day but not very hot which made my visit enjoyable. Loved to see the animals are well kept. The cafeteria has reasonable prices and... More

An excellent day out for young and elderly alike. Plenty of open space, walks, wildlife, museum and cafeteria . A lot of wedging photographs are taken here because of the beautiful surroundings. Worth a visit

Not greatly advertised, we were surprised as not many things are free. Lovely gardens, children's playground, pets corner, tea room and you can have a guided tour around some of the rooms inside the castle, our guide was very imforative and there was only 7 of us. Unfortunately the keep is not open which is a little bit disappointing and... More

This is a beautiful park I visit often but the last few years have seen the upkeep of park & in particular animal enclosures sadly deteriorating. A main issue for me as I take children is that despite notices to the contrary, there are many unleashed dogs running free which is not addressed by park staff & several times we... More
