Some beautiful scenery here. The castle is under maintenance right now but when the scaffolding is down it looks great. Good for a family day at the park. We had our wedding pictures taken here in December.

Dean Park is a great place to walk around when it's cold and frosty. The park is very well kept and the design of the paths give you the choice of a long hike, medium walk or a short stroll. Put on your wellies and wrap up for the big walk around the castle and treat yourself to a nice... More

Lots of great things to do like explore a castle enjoy the animals or let the kids run wild in the playgrounds. During the summer months they hoist things like car shows etc and there are lots of beautiful walks. All this is for free. When you are done exploring there is a tearoom to rest your weary legs .

Dean Castle is not the largest castle in Scotland but that doesn't stop it from being a very popular attraction. You can take a guided tour, find out the drama of its history, walk through the grounds and take a look at the various animals who call this place home. The deer, in particular, a\re so tame and beautiful, that... More

I stumbled upon a reenactment in mid November attended by over a thousand school kids. On asking a teacher I was informed that local schools had been working on the Boyds who once owned the castle. A medieval battle took place to the delight of all the kids and some locals who chanced upon the event that Friday afternoon. Dedicated... More
