We went here several years ago, just after it was first open to the public, and it was good - but what a difference! It is in a new league now. This informative and interesting museum is well worth a visit. It is very well presented, with film shows and interactive exhibits as well as actual weavers speaking about their... More

We last visited Verdant Works many years ago and decided it was about time we went again. It is now an excellent introduction to Dundee's industrial history and well worth a visit.

Well presented museum full of life. At present has a special exhibition about Mary Slessor which is very well worth a visit. There is a charge for the main museum but the celebration of Mary Slessor is free.

This place wasn't too easy to find but the fact that it is linked with Discovery Point means that a few people will visit both because they have that ticket. Anyone who comes to Dundee who doesn't visit is missing s treat. The history of Jute production in Dundee is well explained and the exhibits are well set out explaining... More

I visited this place on the 15th of August, a sunny Saturday morning, and I was almost the only visitor inside - nice indeed. This is a museum about the main industry of Dundee - jute. Dundee, in fact, is called "Juteopolis", so visiting this place should be a must for every tourist. the first part (dioramas) it is not... More

This was one of my favourite exhibits in Dundee. I am a crafter and find any information on the social history of cloth and weaving industry interesting. This was amazing. You almost felt that you could imagine yourself there when it was in use. The lady (don't know her name) that showed us how the machines worked and had actually... More

This is one of Dundees hidden gems, although it is better known now. Anyone interested in the industrial revolution, must certainly want to take this museum in. Extremely well done and I can remember when this was closed down, we as kids were all over this when it was derelcict. Good job Dundee, inserting this back to show us where... More

verdant works tells the history of the jute industry in Dundee. the only negative was that the shop was too small. I hope when they finish the refurbishment etc, that a bigger shop is part of the plan
