I really love this place The building is so beautiful! bang on the centre of Dundee, easy to find in the pedestrian area, very close to other attractions, like the Howff Cemetery. It has a very good mix of exhibitions, from natural history (a whale skeleton, mammals collection, birds, etc) to archaeology (like the amazing Pictish stones! and a very... More

We were staying with relatives in Dundee and decided to come and see the touring Roman exhibition. It was good, but as has previously been said, it's a pity there wasn't more. Having said that, as we wondered around the rest of the place, we found plenty of things to look at that kept our interest, especially the way Dundee... More

I love coming to Mcmanus.i been coming from as a child and saw lots of changes in years. My favourite is always the old paintings.i never get fed up coming. I think it's wonderful and the building is brillant. I love the history of McManus. It has a brillant coffee shop and the staff are very friendly..

Spent an hour in the museum, but would go again and spend more time, very interesting, and the exhibition on the Roman Empire was excellent, the building is stunning and well worth a visit.

Bit of a regular visitor. Tend to see the latest exhibitions. The latest being the Roman installation. Interesting enough, but just not enough. 1 room effectively. Not sure if there just isn't the space at McManus to do anything bigger. As a side note and a few have commented; the old shop, classroom etc were great. Such a shame they... More

Beautiful building in Dundee City Centre, and holds some nice art pieces inside. The cafe is okay if you want a hot drink, the cakes I had when I was last there were a bit dry but otherwise a decent enough place to sit down if your legs are a bit tired. Some nice exhibitions.

Seems churlish to knock a free attraction with friendly staff but it just didn't do it for me. Far too parochial & the special event took away the contempory art I'd wanted to see. Good building and worth a look if you are closeby or interested in Dundee history but not worth a special trip otherwise unless the modern section... More
