The Museum has undergone extensive work outside and inside and shows up the wonderful architecture , but in my opinion is now a minimalistic museum. As a child I loved looking in all the glass cabinets at various objects, and entering rooms specifically for Egyptian or Indian artifacts. The present layout is not interesting enough, with a few select objects... More

The museum is located in a very nice building, it's free and I found some interesting stuff but I missed a real path in this visit, my impression was to see lots of stuff without a real connection between them (but it's only a personal consideration... it worth a visit)

This is a truly beautiful building, a lot of work went into renovating it and a very fine job has been done, staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

First visit to the Mcmanus since its refurbishment, took my toddler son and we both really enjoyed it,and found it very interesting, especially the old Dundee section, not often you can find things to do for a few hours in Dundee that don't cost any money!

This is a free museum with really interesting stuff about Dundee history and a good collection. Recently intelligently refurbished with good facilities and reasonable Cafe. Right in the city centre - so lots more to see nearby

It has some good points but unfortunately it's not the most interesting for children. They have a small play room which is ok but not enough interactive things to help the children learn throughout the visit.

Stopped in to McManus Galleries today with a friend for afternoon tea special. The staff let us sit down early and the food was amazing!! The displays at the Gallery are very good although not particularly child friendly. They do try however. Look forward to going again soon!
