Great place to stop of in the centre of Dundee, with good food and baking and a bit of culture! The building has been restored beautifully....good for children too.

Must visit and there is no charge, many exhibits to view ,can spend a good few hours.Liked the now and then exhibits almost had forgotten about all that ,every thing was well displayed to make it interesting ,also there was a nice cafe where you can have a little break before continuing through the gallery .

Another great, free UK museum. I went here late, especially interested in their Pictish stones and art. They have wonderful selection of stones, lots of information about them, some photos of other relevant artwork. Definitely a big treat! Didn't have time to see the rest but looked to be a lot of well done displays.

Seems a shame that they spent all that money getting it refurbished but bit has lost its soul. Modern art and a pale imitation. And as for the cafe....loud, cold, overpriced and dirty. Staff more interested in yapping than serving the customers. Will not go back again

Fantastic little museum telling the history of Dundee in a very accessible format. Even if museums are a turn off you'll find the McManus very easy to do and well worth while. Its free and if you are a photographer you'll love the exterior of this gothic building.

A wonderful resouce for the city since its refurbishment : a beautiful building and right in the heart of the city. We visit regularly with guests and grandchildren. There is something for everyone. Some very interesting special, travelling exhibitions. Nice cafe/restaurant with an outdoor seating area.

This city museum and art gallery is a great place to start learning about Dundee and Dundonians. There are plenty of 'mouth-size' exhibits detailing various social, economic and political aspects of the city - all very easy to digest. On top of that are contemporary and modern art displays along with a geological and zoological section. The building itself is... More

Good location and service- ordered a drink to sit outside (in some rare sunshine) was a bit surprised to be charged £5.00 for two cans of juice though. Pricey but nice!

The McManus is a favourite of mine when I visit Dundee. It's located in a beautiful gothic building which in itself is great. The museum is free which is really good and there's lots of different rooms with different exhibitions. They also have visiting exhibitions also - I saw a really good Picasso one a year or so ago.
