A great place to visit on a wet day in Dundee. Wonderful displays and knowledgeable staff. On of the staff showed us things in pictures that we would never have seen. Visit the cafe and try the soup for lunch make sure you look at the windows in the cafe.

Good service - good food - ideal for those in a hurry as service is excellent. Good city centre location too.

Although this is still basically a good museum I think that they have made a mistake by removing some well loved exhibits such as the tenement room and contrasting Edwardian sitting room, also the interior of the... The building is fantastic architecturally inside and out. There is a wide range of exhibits spread over two floors. There are also displays giving information about Dundee, including temporary displays.

I nearly didn't visit The McManus because I saw there information leaflet and thought it was going to be some sort of awful modern art gallery. How pleasantly surprised I was when I found that this is in fact a first rate museum, that covers items of both local and national historical importance. Well worth a visit, younger people will... Work round the corner from here so pop in regularly for a look. Sadly, I just about know each exhibit by heart. This is a well designed building and a simple viewing experience. For non locals, it is FREE. It is a good place to learn about the locality and its" history Plenty seats, and a cafe which is quite... More

I love McManus Galleries! The building is stunning and I have always enjoyed visiting, so when I was looking for somewhere to host my wedding reception it was a dream choice. We hosted our wedding meal in the gothic hall on Saturday August 2nd and it was sensational. The staff were amazing and served wonderfully tasty food with impeccable service.... More
