This is a great place the go on a rainy day. It's free entry and has lots of interesting local history exhibitions, there are usually one off events also, like art exhibitions. I love looking around here and never get bored of it, the fact we as a city can offer this free to anyone is great and underused

Beautiful building, always some new exhibition to see but the old classics are amazing. Lovely gallery with great cafe and shop, both reasonably priced - and very friendly, informative staff.

As a Dundee resident I'd walk past the McManus many times during the renovations. It took me a while but I finally got round to having a look around earlier this year. A nice collection of Art and Artifacts housed in beautifully renovated building. I love local / social history. Many of the exhibits focus on Dundee which is of... More

My wife and I visited this perfectly formed wee museum and art gallery on a recent day trip to Dundee. We were very impressed by it as the museum is housed in a gorgeous building (so there are lots of photo opportunities), there is a small but varied collection of art and artefacts that focus on the history of Dundee... I was born in broughtyferry and visit family in dundee nearly every year. The museum was a great haunt of my father and I and is so interesting, you couldn't visit without becoming thrilled with some exhibit.

A beautiful building and the café is excellent, but the collection is quite small and not very hands-on. Art collection upstairs is good and it was quiet when I went, mid-week, so lots of time to look around
