We were recently married at the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop at Gretna Green Scotland, We stayed at Smiths hotel across the way,we had a fabulous time,hotel was excellent,second to none, We had all the locals, photographer , florist and hairdresser/make up artist, Colin Wyper was our photographer,he was brilliant and so patient,photos excellent and plenty of them. My husband and i got married here 11th Sept, 04. we had an amazing day. We actually got married in The Blacksmiths Shop, By Rev. John Carr, from Penrith. He made our day very special, he was lovely. I didn't expect much because I'd been warned Gretna Green was a tourist trap. But, this was one of the few days during my week in Scotland when it wasn't raining hard, so I stopped.
