We heard good things about this place but they were not lived up to. We arrived just after lunch to be told (after paying) that there was pretty much nothing to do. All the tours had finished and it was only 2 pm. We went through to the large outdoor play area. It soon became apparent that coming to this... More

We paid for basic entry which was good value and added the flying fox and down the hatch rides on at a £1 a time. Thought it worked out expensive though to buy an unlimited family ticket at £35. Lunch was nice but could have done with bigger portions. Children had a lovely time and the Ice cream was delicious!

Thank you for your review, I’m glad to know you thought basic entry was good value (£12 for 2 adults and 2 children) giving you the option to buy extra ride tickets if you wanted to. The £35 ticket is great value for those who are going to be here for several hours and want to make use of the... More

We would just like to say a big thank you for making the 1st Wetheral Brownies trip on Saturday such fun and for helping to make the timetable run smoothly! Eoin and Eden were very good with the Brownies both in the ice cream making session and in the Pond Dipping session. The Brownies LOVED the ice cream and none... More

We halted our bikes to take in our usual afternoon ice cream. A quick shot of sugar being welcome at the end of a days pedalling. The staff were very welcoming even though we were only buying product and not taking part in the wide range of activities that go on there. Well worth a detour if you are in... More

The cranachan is one of my favourites too, it’s great to know you’ve earned it after cycling the wonderful lanes around Cream o’ Galloway! The ice cream parlour is open every day from 10am until 5pm or 6pm in the summer holidays, and you don’t need to pay for entry if you’re just using the ice cream parlour and tearoom.... More

Where to start? Well first we paid to get into the outer area, however we still could not take shelter to eat our picnic AFTER we paid to get through the doors, being suggested to the "picnic shelter". One problem with that it is bloody cold when we had already paid for the full area! The farm is filthy and... More

I’m afraid, for the first time on Tripadvisor, I have to take issue with these comments. We are a multi award winning attraction with tens of thousands of happy customers every year. We are proud of our quirky, rustic self made playground. It is unique and lots of fun, and above all it is safe. Our farm has also won... More

We did the cheap option and didn't tour the dairy or went into the adventure playground - we found enough to do on the nature walk (great views) and the free playground. The ice cream was delicious and the indoor play area next to the cafe was fantastic for the youngsters or a wet day. The staff were very friendly... More

Loved the idea of wooden play area for the children and this was the only bit of the day which was enjoyed! The farm tour was interesting but look out for the RATS in the old milking parlour!! Very dirty place! (I know its a farm, I grew up on a farm, but was disgusted how dirty it was, considering... More

I’m glad you enjoyed our unique rustic playgrounds, and sorry that you saw a rat on the farm tour. I’ve lived on the farm for over 20 years and have only ever seen a rat here 4 times, so it is a very rare occasion which unfortunately coincided with the farm tour on this occasion. Our tour guide also reported... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream tasting and trip round the farm at milking time. Only wish the weather was better so that we could have made use of the outdoor areas.

12/05/2013 We were on a family and friends holiday at castle Douglas and weather was rubbish, so we decided to take the kids out for the day. We headed to the cream of Galloway. What could be better than Ice cream! We arrived and decide to have lunch, it was not a complicated order. tea, soup &sandwich for the adults... More

We spent most of a day here with a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old and some adult friends. The Playground - well it had to be throughly tested by both dads later - it's huge and kept them really challenged to finish the harder sections. The indoor play area whilst not on the same massive scale was... More
