This is not the biggest aviation museum but has some great exhibits and a massive collection of smaller items from the local area. The control tower is bursting with engines, weapons, uniforms, and many other interesting items - as well as a mock-up of how the tower would have looked during WWII. Many of the aircraft are looking worn despite... More

Excellent experience - thanks in the main to the friendly and informative staff. Quite an esoteric collection of mainly military planes including a Saab. The control tower is packed with memorabilia and models. Easily passed a couple of hours having a good look around.

A good spot for an hour or two on an old airfield. Hopefully the building work can continue quickly to get some of the exhibits under cover before they succomb to the elements. Volunteer run centre on a shoestring with a range of items to look at, much of it recovered parts from crash sites so not pristine aircraft but... More

This is a great little museum for aviation enthusiasts. The volunteers do a great job. A warm welcome was given to us and any questions enthusiastically answered. Just a pity I didn't have more time to see everything!

Excellent place to visit with some well looked after exhibits, the control tower is full of informative displays and things to read. Enough aircraft to look around and photograph. Visit you will enjoy.

At first I thought we would be in and out very quickly as there seemed to be just a field with bits of planes. However there is much more if you are happy reading information about how air played its part in the second world war. There were some rooms showing how people lived and a climb up the control... Pleasant way to spend and afternoon. Made better as there was also a car rally at the same time. D&G museum has a great selection of aircraft, engines, history and memorabilia. The control tower has a superb display. All the staff are volunteers and will help you with any questions,

The hubby was in his element here. I was amazed by how much aviation memrobellia was housed in the aviation tower, I think it will be well worth a return visit once the expansions have been done.

We spent an enjoyable hour and a half at the museum a few weeks back. Had meant to go for a long time but never been in the area when it was open. Interesting displays both outside and inside and very friendly volunteers keeping it all together.
