Good atmosphere, good music, good beer, good prices, friendly staff, a bit run down, but loads of character in the place. Entrance to male toilet was like the entrance to the ghost train!

Pub decor is different and atmospheric, but that's probably the only positive. Took around 5 minutes each time to get get served at the bar when the place wasn't busy. I decided to give Broon's a go, as it was just along from my hotel - and I'm glad I did. Service was prompt, friendly and the beer delicious. The internal decor is amazing - stuffed with... More

Just had a very mixed experience at Broons.....the bar itself is great...but if the bloke Andrew contines to strutt makeing his presence felt, this great bar will be devoid of any customers

Was staying with friends in Dumfries and on the Saturday Night they took me to Broons to see one of their live bands, the pub was packed full of people and I have to say after going a pub crawl in the town, we ended up back in Broons as it has the best atmosphere and was the busiest pub... More
