Enjoyable visit to a mill shop with tea room. The place is full of tweed and tartan expensive but some lovely things. The tea room was much like most that you visit at these sort of outlets.

Surely a stop at a 'real working Mill' is part of every trip to Scotland? This didn't disappoint in the slightest, great to see where stuff is made- and in this country too! Keep up the good work- a good selection of items in the shop and the cafe food and coffee was great.

We enjoyed our visit to Lochcarron mill shop. The staff member who helped me choose a tartan shawl/wrap was friendly and took time to show their stock. Visited for lunch - love the food, surroundings, toilets, friendly staff and being out of the rain!! Like the chairs with the newspaper of the day. Beautiful products on display and for buying. It's a little distance away from the main road but well worth a visit.

A fascinating insight into how one of Scotland’s most iconic commodities comes to life, even if – like me – you’re not into textiles. The mill tour takes you through the various stages of tartan production and Elaine was a top notch guide, keeping it informative and humorous - this was no heavy sell more of a business that is...

Lochcarron is the last mill in the Scottish Borders that offers mill tours so it is a must visit for people in the area who want to learn about the rich textile history of the area. I found it fascinating that they supply cloth to shops I love such as Hobbs and Jigsaw. I saw cloth from a Hobbs skirt...
