Kalzie is a great day out and the restaurant is lovely. Good scones and lunches. Nice atmosphere and good service
The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a very tasty and reasonably priced lunch. Lovely selection of gifts in the shop too.
We have been here several times. When my parents come to visit it is also their restaurant of choice. And they have dined in many a fine restaurant throughout the world!!! I'm not sure what makes it so good! The service is always good for a start - friendly helpful staff. The atmosphere is so cosy - there's a wood... More
We visited here today and enjoyed a wander through the forest and autumnal walled garden It is a very peaceful well presented garden and we saw no signs of neglect mentioned by a previous contributor. For gardeners it has many inspiring features including potager vegetable flower mixed gardens and espaliered fruit trees. The walled garden and formal beds are lushly... More
We last came here some 20 years ago and were looking forward to renewing our acquaintance. The shop/ticket office was closed at 10.30am and a note instructed us to put money in a slotted box. We only encountered one person working in the garden and overall felt their was an aura of neglect. How disappointing.
We thoroughly enjoyed the gardens in the late September sunshine and amid such stunning countryside. Quite a few of us will visit again at different times of year. Although late in the season there were lots of flowers to see and the plants in the greenhouses were beautiful.
I was really intrigued by the idea of a walled garden, and it was just how I imagined the garden in the Secret Garden book to have been like when I read it as a child. It was absolutely enchanting and most certainly worth a visit. the chicken village was also really sweet and made me smile. Such a wonderful... More

It has a beautiful well maintained wall garden with various flowers and bushes and a pond. There is a children's play area as well as a tearoom which does meals and... More
This was a common go-to when my kids were small. The garden has nice structured walks that aren't too challenging, and buggy-friendly. There's a decent playground, and for extra money there's mini golf and a trout pond. Food at the restaurant is excellent.
