A satellite garden of the Rbg in Edinburgh. Magnificent conifers, birches and rowan. Broad swathes of herbaceous plants including the famous blue Himalayan poppy. A mountain stream runs through it all. Unique and exciting bistro/cafe. Sadly not licensed. More

We went this week to find it covered in snow, very picturesque. We had lunch in the cafe which is all freshly cooked and very tasty. A very good choice... More

We had never heard of Dawyck before and were overwhelmed by the beauty and peace even on a February day. After a recent hip replacement I was a bit daunted at the possible climb to the top but it was so worthwhile. The sound of the waterfall and the river were wonderful and amazingly destressing. The chapel in the middle of the Garden is like something you would find in the Arthurian romances - have always expected a knight in armour to come riding out of the woods - but all I've found in my husband!! It is a lovely place at any time of the year. Go visit. More
