Very interesting with bags of information on its history, quirky architecture and the monks who lived here. It's virtually on Melrose High Street which itself is worth a visit and the Abbey is the best thing in Melrose. more

Melrose Abbey was really neat. The setting was lovely and the ruins magnificent. You can still see lots of detail, and also hints of detail that had been. Lots to explore, and a climb up a tower to a nice view. The audio guide is a must - it tells you quite a bit about the ruins and points out... more
