The gardens in Bank street are well maintained and are pretty to look at. In the summer lots of people sit in the grassy area and enjoy the sunshine. However it is very small and is on the main road through the town. As a wildlife lover I would love it if the council would plant the garden with more... More

Apart from Old Gala House, which is a historic house, a museum and has a lovely enclosed garden, Galashiels doesn't have many attractions. The Bank Street Gardens occupy one side of this wide central street, several displays of outstanding flowers beautifully laid out. It's a nice, if noisy, place to sit and chat and it's central to the banks and... More

A nicely maintained space with a few benches and flower beds but it is literally on the roadside and not very wide, and I'm really not sure that it counts as an attraction.

A nice place to sit and people watch while having a picnic especialy when the sun is shining. There are plenty takeaways nearby if you forgot to pack the picnic hamper.

Nothing very special - just a little area in the middle of a small town well laid out with standard "park" flowers. There is an area to sit if desired.

The gardens are always well kept with lovely flower beds. On a nice day the numerous seats are occupied with locals watching the world go by.

This garden area is on one of the main streets in Galashiels and is popular all year round. The flowers and grass area are looked after and provide a colourful place to watch the world go by.

Ever changing, ever colourfull! Council staff continually maintain these gardens, and are very conscientious with their care. Right in the centre of town, and a sun trap!

These gardens are well maintained by the council with some lovely floral displays. A good place to sit down and relax in between shopping (outwith school dinner time)
