Wow we came across this without knowing anything about it. we had the Abbey to ourselves. It was fantastic- cheap and really well done to inform visitors about this ancient palce. More

Well worth a visit. Information telling you what used to be at each area. Marvel at the engineering feats this ruin has. More

It is quite a shock to look up and see the abbey when you drive into Jedburgh; almost takes your breath away as there’s enough of the ruins for you to imagine how it would have been. Definitely worth a visit even just to gaze at it from the car park. Great photo opportunities. More

Jedburgh Abbey is is in a border town (Northern England) where Mary Queen of Scots once stayed. The proximity of the abbey to the border made it a target for battles between the Scots and the English. It was burned and plundered a number of times, but it is a powerfully beautiful ruin. More

This abbey reminds of a colosseum because of the outlook. It is a very pretty historic structure and i would recommend my friends to visit the abbey. They also have free audio guide telling you how it used to be like. There used to be some sort of river or water running underneath the abbey. Interesting! More

This fine Abbey ruin has seen much history. Now with a fabulous new reception, gift shop and visitor information with it's modern facilities, it makes venturing out into the Abbey a much more pleasant experience. There's dressing up for the children, dress as a Monk or a Princess in our case, and have a photo (taken by us) next to... More

Visited Jedburgh with my boyfriend about a month ago. I've lived in the borders most of my life but had never even been to Jedburgh before this, he'd been a few times but only to play rugby, not for sightseeing. We were greeted by friendly staff, happy to chat and recommend other places to visit for later or other days.... More

A magnificent old ruin with enough information on its history and the monks who lived there to keep you enthralled. Topped off by a lovely visitor centre this is another must in the Scottish Borders. More
