Makes Kelso even more special! This abbey is only a fraction of its original size, but the remaining part enables u to imagine how spectacular it must have been in its day. More

Kelso Abbey has the least remaining of the Borders Abbeys and is free to visit. It is an integral part of the town and is distinguished by its wonderful coloured stone. Surrounding it is an interesting churchyard, mostly from the Victorian era when people wanted to be buried near the great Abbey. Some headstones have been incorporated into the ruined... More
