Situated on the summit of Battery Hill above the town and visible from everywhere in Oban. McCaig's Tower is well worth walking up to even just for the amazing views over Oban and the harbour and out towards Pulpit Hill, Kerrera and Mull. The garden inside in nicely landscape as well.

Lovely views at the top of McCaigs tower. Would most definitely recommend this to anybody going to Oban, well worth the walk up the hill :) The way the tower is lit up at night is also beautiful. You can get some beautiful photos from the top of McCaigs tower.

Must admit to driving up to McCaig's Tower rather than walking from the town but from here one is afforded the most wonderful views of Oban and the surrounding area. Wonderful photographic opportunities and we were so lucky to see a beautiful rainbow appear during our visit.

Great vista of the city of Oban and well lit at night providing a nice sight from below. Interesting story about history of the tower. Picturesque grounds

Beautifully landscaped inside the tower with spectacular views. Easy to walk to from the seafront ... up 144 steps! But there are bench seats every so many steps for a rest! Well worth the climb. Also easily accessible by road.

Make sure you take a trip up the Tower as you get fantastic views over Oban Bay, the Isles of Kerrera and the Mull mountains in the distance

The walk to the tower was pleasant, and we found the tower easily. Building erected in early 1900's, has spectacular views and looks beautiful at night. Worth a visit with your dog.

We could find no notice boards giving us information about the building which was quite disappointing.

Brilliant views, peace and quiet although there were plenty of visitors. Watch out when walking on the grass as many slipped and fell while we were there. The history surrounding the tower is amazing, we need some modern day heros.

OMG I loved that place so much. To be fair it was a while ago, but i'm reviewing it now cos TA have asked me to. Amazing views, tingling spine from the history, and just the ancient atmosphere, oh i do love it and miss it! Oban rocks.
