Walked up to see the view of Oban and it was fantastic! Despite a bit of mist it was still lovely - I can imagine on a sunny day it will be spectacular views.

Second visit. The climb is steep - very much so at parts. I have COPD so it is more difficult for me anyway but my husband is quite fit and even he found certain parts quite a gradient ( didn't help that we took a longer route than necessary!) But the views are lovely once you are there especially from... More

Seating up there to pass time watching the views. Up a good steep hill with steeps for those with mobility issues this may be difficult to access

Lovely views, lovely place. Just for a stop off really as not much to see. It looks great lit up at night over the harbour.

This monument, overlooking the bay of Oban, high upon the hill, is a beautiful backdrop for picnics with a grassed and seated interior, and in many instances has been the backdrop for weddings! The floral plantings are well looked after, and attract wild birds, butterflies and other insects. There is ample parking facilities for those with cars, and there is... More

Walked to top which is a bit of a climb but well worth it for the view. Beautiful March day and Oban was spectacular.

It's only about no more than a ten minute walk to the tower, but it's uphill, and if you're dreadfully unfit like me you'll be out of breath when you get there! However, it is well worth it for the view over Oban and the bay.

Steep walk up to view point nice garden in the walls with glimpses of the view. The best view is from a viewing platform in front of the monument through a little door. Note if you have any health problems get a taxi then it's a short walk up a hill or steps.
