Visited whilst staying in Oban due to my hsband having a keen war interest. Free entry to this small museum but worth a visit if your interested in the history of war and of Oban. Volunteer ran so donations appricated for these kind people who give up their time to keep the place going.

A unique museum housed in the old Oban Times building. No admission charge but donations are invited. A very moving and informative exhibition, well worth a visit.

The displays are housed in only 2 rooms, but every inch of available space is utilised, and there is also an audio-visual dvd display. The staff are volunteers and very helpful and friendly.

A collection of war related memorabilia gives a wartime glimpse of Oban. It was a base for flying boats guarding the convoy routs in the Atlantic.

Loved this interesting look at life in Oban during various times in history. Staff were very friendly and gave the overall impression they knew a lot about the area and museum/exhibits. Would definitely go back and a must visit if you're interested in Obans history
